Our Group Legal & Compliance team
As our new legal compliance counsel, you will become part of a highly skilled and motivated Group Legal & Compliance team of 50 colleagues around the world. 20 colleagues are based in our headquarter in Denmark and advice the business globally.
The Group Compliance team consist of 4 people. We develop and mature our group program and advice on matters relating to Code of Conduct, whistleblower hotline, anticorruption, trade compliance and competition law.
What to expect
We are looking for an experienced colleague to play an important role in shaping the future of our compliance framework. You will be part of a small Group Compliance team who is enthusiastic about business ethics and legal compliance. We are on a journey to develop, grow and mature our Group compliance program. The tone is informal, and your input will be valued and encouraged. You will refer to Head of Group Compliance and be situated in Smørum, Denmark.
Your work tasks will be very diverse, and your qualifications and interests will be taken into consideration as much as possible. Your role will be proactive. You will be close to the decision-making processes in Demant, and you will work closely together with the business. You will be meeting clients directly and support the Demant Group globally with your advice. You will have the opportunity to work independently and put your fingerprint on a challenging but important agenda. We embrace a flexible working environment and the possibility to work from home.

When carrying out your tasks, you will work with colleagues across all business units and all affiliates. You will work cross functional and truly global. You will also work with external advisors. You will obtain an in-depth understanding of Demant’s business.
A limited amount of travelling can be expected.

- Advising and supporting key stakeholders with advice on various legal and compliance matters.
- Developing and maturing the compliance program, including various compliance areas, advising on regulation, conflict handling, due diligences, etc.
- Assisting with task relating to our whistleblower hotline, including investigations.
- Developing and launching global e-learning programs.
- Developing policies and implementation across Demant Group’s multiple jurisdictions.
- Training of colleagues
- Working with business ethics champions across the Demant Group.
When carrying out your tasks, you will work with colleagues across all business units and all affiliates. You will work cross functional and truly global. You will also work with external advisors. You will obtain an in-depth understanding of Demant’s business.
A limited amount of travelling can be expected.
Your qualifications:
- A degree in law (cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or equivalent).
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience from either a law firm, in-house counsel or other relevant legal experience
- A good understanding of or interest in compliance broadly.
- The ability to balance the need for sound business advice with the need for maintaining a high standard of legal and compliance advice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good interaction with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior management.
- Excellent English proficiency as this is the Demant Group corporate language.
