Welcome to a specialised and innovative team
Ferrosan Medical Devices develops haemostatic products that are used worldwide to minimise bleeding during surgeries. Our products help save lives, and now you get to play an important part in the development of these products. Joining us at our HQ in Søborg, you will become an integral part of our Technology Innovation team, consisting of 12-15 highly specialised engineers and pharmacists.
Our responsibility is to transfer product requirements into specific equipment and process requirements. We ensure sourcing of equipment from suppliers and are responsible for qualification, validation, process transfer and ramp-up/optimisation, whether it takes place internally or externally. We work within a range of areas, including the basic gelatine process, moulding of components, kitting, blister packaging, sterilisation, finished goods packaging etc.
Responsible for our basic production process and raw materials
As our new process and material specialist, you will be overall responsible for the basic production process where we convert raw materials to gelatin plates for our various finished products. This will require a data-based approach, where you ensure and verify the correct documentation, specifications, process impact, tolerances etc.
A lot of your work will include close cooperation with both our production and process support areas as well as other internal stakeholders like e.g., QA, QC and external suppliers.

An academic with good data and process skills
With a knack for having a solid data-based approach to your work, you understand the importance of documentation and processes – especially in a GMP-regulated environment. At the same time, you thrive when interacting with a range of different people, both internally but especially externally. Additionally, you have the skills to communicate and convey technical matters into more tangible formulations.

A lot of your work will include close cooperation with both our production and process support areas as well as other internal stakeholders like e.g., QA, QC and external suppliers.
Specifically, you will be:
- Overall responsible for our basic production process
- Responsible for the process when raw materials arrive at our location – from raw gelatin to cross-linked products
- Handling requests from authorities in regard to e.g., audits, and convey specialist knowledge to non-specialists
- Basing your work on data and statistics to support the optimisation of our processes and quality

An academic with good data and process skills

- A relevant academic background, e.g., within chemical engineering, polymer chemistry, protein chemistry and possibly with a process and materials focus
- Experience with and insight into data management, processes and statistics
- Experience with and understanding of GMP, validation, qualification and quality
