Project Developer, Estonia
Would you like a challenging career with a high degree of development and responsibilities? Does it motivate you to be on the frontline of the renewable energy business? And would you like to develop utility-scale projects in Estonia?
European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We construct wind and solar (PV) projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation, and divestment. Our company of 290 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 25 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in Sweden, the UK, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil-free society.
As our new Project Developer, you will work from our office in Søborg or from our to-be-established office in Tallinn with European Energy’s projects in Estonia. You will see yourself in an environment with a big variation of interesting tasks. You will quickly become familiar with technical as well as financial and administrative details of our renewable energy assets and contribute to managing internal and external work streams.
You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and negotiating with landowners to obtain land rights to develop utility-scale renewable energy projects. In cooperation with your highly experienced and motivated commercial, legal, and technical colleagues, you contribute to assessing the feasibility and potential of projects and bringing them to the ready-to-build stage. Finally, you will consult and survey partners and subcontractors securing continuous development of our project portfolio in Estonia. You have solid interpersonal skills to negotiate with local suppliers, service providers and communicate with shareholders such as banks.
We seek a service-minded, team-oriented yet independent and motivated person, who thrives in an international environment. It is crucial that you show flexibility and have good structural skills, as you will be working in a high-paced and multidisciplinary environment.
We offer an opportunity to take on a role with great responsibility and a steep learning curve in the renewable industry. As part of an international and engaged team in a fast-growing company with colleagues from various countries and with different professional backgrounds, you will work and benefit from a diverse and dynamic working environment as well as a flat company hierarchy.
We prioritize a social work environment and arrange many activities to socialize outside work, including various sports activities and an annual company trip. We can offer relevant certifications for existing and future work projects, and we emphasize a flexible work culture with possibilities to work from home.
