Financial Modelling Specialist
Do you have strong financial skills and can you develop and present business cases to our debt and equity investors? European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We construct wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation, and divestment. Our company of more than 300 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 25 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in Sweden, UK, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil free society
The Role
Due to our company’s growth, we are looking for a new colleague. As our Financial Modelling Specialist, you will be part of our Transaction Service team. The team is involved in financial modelling, negotiations with banks regarding construction and project financing as well as participating in the sale the wind and solar projects that we develop at European Energy.
Your responsibilities will involve creating and maintaining financial models, preparing presentation and economic analysis for different markets and technologies to be applied in the project financing and sales assessments. You will be supporting our project department using screening models with simulation and QA of valuation metrics. You will work closely with colleagues from our different departments on complex transactions hereunder our Italian project development team.

Your areas of responsibility include:
- Financial modelling
- Drafting information memorandums and performing Due Diligence
- Assisting in execution of deals
- Gathering and maintaining internal/public information through numerous sources
- Participating in commercial negotiations
- Building strong relationships with existing and potential investment partners
Professional skills we expect from you
- Super user in Excel
- You hold a university degree in Business or Economics, MBA or similar
- You have 2+ years of experience, preferable within the renewable energy sector, M&A and/or from the financial industry (e.g. Investment Banking, Corporate Finance)
- You speak and write English at a professional level. It’s a huge advantage if you speak and write Italian as well
