European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and/or divestment of assets. We operate globally and employ 24 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in Sweden, Bulgaria, the UK, Poland, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. The role
As our new HSE Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a HSE strategy and procedures for European Energy A/S, throughout Europe. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with several stakeholders both internally and externally. Ensure that safety policies and procedures are implemented, understood, and adhered to at work locations. The role offers a lot of variety both from an operational and strategic level and we expect you to come with a flexible and pro-active mindset and approach.

The role

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with several stakeholders both internally and externally. Ensure that safety policies and procedures are implemented, understood, and adhered to at work locations. The role offers a lot of variety both from an operational and strategic level and we expect you to come with a flexible and pro-active mindset and approach.
Areas of responsibilities
- Implement, oversee, and adapt policies, and programs, to improve quality, safety, and environmental performance
- Responsible for reporting of all accidents, incidents, injuries and near misses
- Liaise with client and suppliers on contractual- and audit requirements
- Carry out company health and safety inductions and training for all new and current staff responsibilities
- Work as HSE business partner
- Direct and monitor the HSE start-up/transition activities on new or expanding European Energy A/S locations
- Conduct health and safety committee meetings
- Provide reports on occurrences and statistical information to executive management
- Ensure compliance with current and future regulations and standards
Professional skills we expect from you
- 3-5 years of relevant experience within HSE, preferably from renewables
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14000 and 45001
- In depth knowledge of legislation and procedures
- Familiar with responsible supply chain management
- Safety awareness training - ability to teach
- Good public speaking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically
- You possess strong and professional communication skills in English. Knowledge of Danish is an advantage
