You will be part of the Group Risk Management & Insurance department which currently consists of eight colleagues, located across four offices in Denmark and the UK. The department is divided into four areas: Insurance, QHSE, Claims, and Resilience.
As our new Claims Manager, you will work with a variety of claims and critical incidents across the whole organization with a focus on those originating from the portfolio of solar, wind and Power-to-X projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Legal, EPC, Asset Management, Operations, etc) and external stakeholders (insurers, insurance broker, customers, contractors, law firms, et) to ensure that all relevant information is coordinated, captured, and evaluated in the effective handling of claims and incidents.
As a person, you are outgoing and good at establishing relations with others. You feel comfortable presenting at meetings and conferences, and you are good at following up on on-going matters. Moreover, you enjoy working in a dynamic environment with many stakeholders.

Your new team

Your new role
As our new Claims Manager, you will work with a variety of claims and critical incidents across the whole organization with a focus on those originating from the portfolio of solar, wind and Power-to-X projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Legal, EPC, Asset Management, Operations, etc) and external stakeholders (insurers, insurance broker, customers, contractors, law firms, et) to ensure that all relevant information is coordinated, captured, and evaluated in the effective handling of claims and incidents.
A typical day
- You manage negotiation and resolution of claims and disputes with customers, contractors, suppliers, etc.
- You maintain an overview of open claims across European Energy, including actions on involved stakeholders.
- You manage reporting on claims with respect to the relevant facts, including timeline, technical assessments, financial and insurance consequences, legal assessments, etc.
- You follow up with external parties – suppliers, contractors and insurers – to resolve claims.
- You evaluate claim validity and European Energy’s warranty obligations.
- You coordinate activities with European Energy Teams to be involved.
- You ensure timely response to claims from and towards external parties.
- You are the Secretary of the European Energy Claims Committee.
Prerequisites to succeed in the role
- You have experience as a Claims Manager/Loss Adjuster from a large insurance carrier or a background from a claim litigation department at an international company or law firm.
- You have a degree in Law or as a Loss Adjuster.
- You have experience developing procedures and policies.
- You are good at converting and communicating legal matters into practice.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Danish and English.
