As part of the Infrastructure & Automations team you will assist in delivering high quality solutions that builds, manage, and rolls out automated software deployments to our crucial test infrastructure.aa
You will get to know both software and hardware, but you will also experience the importance and value of proper documentation ensuring that others may follow-up on your solutions.

The Job
As a Data Technician Apprentice in Infrastructure and Automation you will be an essential part of the team and gain valuable practical hands-on experience in development, automation, deployment & maintenance ensuring that you will be among the best of the next-generation IT specialist.
We strive to ensure that your apprenticeship will provide you with valuable skills in Infrastructure and Automation practices, preparing you for a successful career in a rapidly evolving field of experts.
We will give you the opportunity to work with both the hardware and software side of IT. We will do this by involving you in building the corner stones of all IT, the hardware, as you partake in assembling the hardware and setting up the networks that make up the backbone of C2’s test environment.
Once the hardware has been assembled, will you participate in developing the software solutions that automate software image builds, nightly deployments and maintaining and reviewing the code base of the CI/CD solution.
With hardware and software build and ready to run, you will be responsible for writing technical documentation to ensure that the quality work you have done, can be maintained and continuously worked on by other colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment solutions (Automation of image build/deployment, test initiation/reporting, software releasing etc.)
- Switches and networking implementation and maintenance.
- Scriptable orchestration and provisioning.
- (IaC) Infrastructure as Code & (CaC) Configuration as code.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation of hardware and software solutions.
- Maintenance of development and reference systems at Terma.
You will also:
- Participate in the team alignment events like planning, refinement, retrospective, and review & demo.
- Spar and share knowledge with your fellow engineers in the C2 organization.
- Participate in test activities necessary to ensure reference systems are ready for use.
- Participate in delivering support to users of test environments and to ensure effective use.
- Participate in creating a good, healthy, and fun environment for you and your colleagues to work in.

How to succeed in this position?
Minimum qualifications:
- You are taking or have completed GF2 on the Data Technician with speciality in either programming or infrastructure education.
- You have a desire to work with infrastructure, automation & software.
- You understand, speak, read, and write English at a Professional level (all documentation and much communication are in English).
Nice to have:
- Some understanding of hardware
- Basic understanding of software
- Basic Windows/Linux know-how
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous.
- Ability and eagerness to learn, adapt, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment to support the TEC division and business.
- A natural “can do” attitude and a high level of curiosity to find solutions.
Ideally you possess the following traits:
- You can easily adapt and eager to lean new technology.
- You like to follow instructions and procedures, identifying improvement areas and building constructive suggestions.
