Senior Manager, Data & Analytics – DOVISTA, Horsens

A newly defined role as Head of Data & Analytics, where you will get an excellent opportunity to spearhead DOVISTA’s Data & Analytics strategy and build an Enterprise Data & Analytics platform across the organisation and internationally recognised brands including VELFAC, RATIONEL and KRONE in Denmark. Some of the groundwork has been made, and you will be expected to contribute with your skills in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing, which you will use to define how to move Data Analytics from Sustainable to Good to Great.

In the last 20 years, DOVISTA has experienced rapid growth, acquired multiple brands, while allowing a decentralised structure, with some centralised support. There is an entrepreneurial and agile spirit. To ensure safe business operations, data is key to streamline and automate processes using AI and more new technologies. This role will be an integral driver of ensuring that the right and qualitative data are available to spearhead the business.

The role will report to a VP, Data Management, and will become part of the CFO area and the management team in Data Management as well as joining an extended leadership team. There will be eight direct reports and a student worked. This role will be based at DOVISTA’s HQ in Horsens, and with limited travelling.

The Job

As Head of Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a Data & Analytics strategy across DOVISTA and brands including effective management, analysis, and utilisation of data to enable business stakeholders to generate value from data (e.g. enhance operational efficiency, support strategic initiatives, drive automation).

In the job, you will spearhead the data landscape, data warehouse strategy, standardisation and congruence in reporting, and will support in innovation to ensure the responsible use of data assets to achieve strategic goals. You will be supported by a team working with AI, Data Warehouse, and Self-service BI as well as engage with an established network of superusers in the brands / countries, and together you will deliver following:

  • Developing and implementing a Data & Analytics strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Building, leading, and mentoring a team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, AI and BI Specialists.
  • Building a Data & Analytics’ setup that is scalable, efficient, and capable of supporting growing data needs.
  • Serving as primary liaison between Data & Analytics team and other business units.
  • Communicating complex data concepts and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Implementing and enforcing Data Governance policies to ensure data accuracy, quality, privacy, and security.
  • Building and networking with superusers in the business.
  • Continuously prioritising tasks in a dynamic environment, where there will be room for improvement across all areas.

The Profile

We expect you to possess sufficient years’ experience in Data Analytics and Data Warehouse from a comparable role, and with experience from people management. Your background allows you to operate with a ‘fit for purpose’ when it comes to ‘what good looks like’, and you are thus highly accustomed to balancing ambitions for Data with the Business. At all times, you show a natural interest for AI and trends, and how you can adapt this in your work.

As a person and as a leader, you are a highly motivated and driven individual, with a strong track record of making an impact to people across levels, and in your area of expertise. Professionally, you can recognise yourself in following:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Analysis, Finance, IT or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience from Business Intelligence or a related field.
  • Strong experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and specific knowledge about data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage as the current Data & Analytics’ landscape is based om MS and SAP.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full data value chain from data governance, quality to data warehouse and business reporting.
  • Proven history of driving change across larger organisations.
  • Fluent in English, and Danish is an advantage, not a requirement.
  • Ability to work out of the Horsens office a minimum of three days weekly.
