Are you interested in joining an ever-changing and evolving industry? Would you like to be a key player in production support? Do you have experience, or are you interested in becoming a specialist in metering? Then this could be the job for you.
On behalf of TotalEnergies, we are looking for their next metering engineer. Together with your colleague, you will be the go-to person for all questions regarding metering. This will include day-to-day technical support for the technicians on-site, as well as providing recommendations for upcoming projects. Overall, you will be responsible for ensuring reliable metering, providing valid raw data for allocation and reporting.

Some of the tasks will include:
- Ensuring that oil and gas product measurement systems are designed, installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with relevant standards and best practices.
- Providing day-to-day remote support to Maintenance, Smartroom, and other departments on operational issues.
- Supporting and contributing to internal studies and new projects.
- Ensuring the reliable functionality of metering used in well testing.
- Creating and maintaining metering manuals and similar documentation.
Your Profile
There are different ways to enter the role of a metering engineer at TotalEnergies. You can either be an experienced professional from a similar role or an engineer with an interest in becoming a metering engineer. Either way, it's essential that you can see yourself becoming the go-to person your colleagues turn to with inquiries about metering questions/issues.
If you do not have experience as a metering engineer, you might have:
- A BSc degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, or a similar field.
- A natural interest in understanding the thermodynamics regarding oil, gas, and water flow.
- Knowledge of flow metering and instrumentation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of oil/gas-related plant processes would be an advantage.
- A strong understanding and focus on HSE matters.
