DCA-NCA is recruiting a new Project Development & Learning Coordinator for our Myanmar Country office.
Who are we?
In Myanmar we work to save lives through humanitarian action, build strong and resilient communities, and fight injustice and inequality.
Through a joint office and country programme, DanChurchAid (DCA) and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), support local and national civil society in their work for human rights, development and resilient communities.

Objective of the job :
The Project Development and Learning Coordinator takes responsibility for DCA-NCA Myanmar’s proposal development, grant management and cross team learning. The role sits within the Development Programme which supports civil society strengthening and localisation, with a strong focus on empowerment and rights, gender-based violence and resilience and food security.

Objective of the job :
The Project Development and Learning Coordinator takes responsibility for DCA-NCA Myanmar’s proposal development, grant management and cross team learning. The role sits within the Development Programme which supports civil society strengthening and localisation, with a strong focus on empowerment and rights, gender-based violence and resilience and food security.
The main tasks will include:
- Proactively identify and act on opportunities to design new projects with the Head of Development Programme and mobilise the necessary resources
- Designing and writing winning proposals to various donors
- Supporting development team to ensure that projects are implemented on time, on budget and with impact
- Support the team to monitor reporting deadline and write quality reports to donors
- Work closely with MEAL staff to ensure that new projects are based on evidence and learning from our existing programming
- Organising learning across the organisation and with our partners
- Acting as focal point between grant management teams in HQ and country office
About you
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate has:
- Experience in Myanmar is a must. Currently located in Myanmar an added advantage
- Up to 3 years relevant work experience in fund-raising, grant management, research or MEAL.
- Technical background in one of more of the following is preferred: empowerment, rights and governance, food security and livelihoods, gender-based Violence.
- Experience in developing projects and writing proposals and reports for donors
- Experience in writing quality reports
- An outgoing, results-oriented and proactive approach
- The ability to synthesize and analyse complex and comprehensive data
- The ability to effectively work in a complex work environment, set priorities and deal with numerous simultaneous tasks and deadlines
- Confidence in facilitating, with excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- The ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge or fluency in a Scandinavian language an advantage
- Experience in Myanmar or Southeast Asia an advantage
