If so, then a Corporate Procurement internship could be the one for you.

In Corporate Procurement, part of the Finance, Legal and Procurement division, we are now looking for 8-10 talented interns to join our exciting program and kick start a career in this challenging and rewarding international business environment. Novo Nordisk is one of the most successful pharmaceutical companies in the world.
About the department
Corporate Procurement is one of the central sourcing units at Novo Nordisk managing a total external spend of DKK 40 billion with more than 60,000 suppliers globally. The environment is ambitious, fast-paced and professional. We optimise processes and drive value for Novo Nordisk in close collaboration with stakeholders globally across the whole Novo Nordisk value chain. This includes aligning and prioritising key business activities to achieve the highest possible value, while taking quality, risks, savings, environmental and social aspects into consideration.
You will be located in Bagsværd, Denmark joining a department with +100 employees. You will be allocated to one of Corporate Procurement’s sourcing, purchasing or project teams working in the areas of Research and Development, Production, Marketing, Travel, Business Support or Business Development. You will be assigned a day to day Manager who will support you to deliver on your internship goals, offering sparring and coaching along the way to ensure you perform at your best and get the most from your internship experience. At the start of your internship you will also participate in a full tailor made on-boarding program so you can hit the ground running having already laid the foundations for a strong collaborative network with your colleagues from day one.
The position
You will work in business development focused on sourcing or purchasing activities and process optimisation. You will identify business development opportunities for consumer related spend and be part of our current journey to digitalise procurement across Novo Nordisk. Tasks will provide you with experience in project management, quantitative and qualitative data analytics as well as the chance to work with suppliers and/or other functions in Novo Nordisk. You will be responsible for managing your time to deliver your tasks with support from dedicated experienced project managers and leaders. You will be required to make fact-based decisions and present your conclusions clearly and concisely, therefore you should expect to work with software such as Excel, Powerpoint, SAP and Coupa for example.
The internship is a full-time position. We are flexible when necessary to allow for exams and/or potentially writing your master thesis in collaboration with Novo Nordisk whilst you are here.
- Internship period: 5-12 months
- Working hours: 37 hours a week with the possibility to take vacation during the internship
- Start date: 1 February 2021
- Internships are remunerated at 12,000 DKK/month, if your educational track allows
- A Danish full-time work permit is required prior to starting your internship
A CV, cover letter and grade transcripts for Bachelor's and Master's degrees are required for all applications.
Qualifications
We only hire the best. You are enrolled in a Master's degree throughout the duration of your internship (e.g. in Economics, International Business, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar) with a top 20% GPA. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable working with large data sets and presenting your conclusions to key stakeholders. You have an international mind-set, experience from studying abroad, 1-3 years of relevant work next to your studies and relevant extracurricular activities.
You are self-motivated and take responsibility for your own performance and learning. You work fluently in English (both in speech and in writing), are organised and structured and communicate clearly and concisely. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for yourself and your colleagues.
