Field Product Manager, Hematology

About the Opportunity


The Field Product Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of sales strategy and efficient activities for the therapeutic area (hematology) in Denmark. Activities require a coordinated, cross-functional approach with Medical Affairs, Market Access and NOBA Marketing. Working in collaboration with Franchise Lead and MCO Brand Manager, you will plan and execute on development of strategy and materials for defined stakeholders. Through the engagement of health care professionals you will achieve budgeted sales targets for designated products on local level as well as driving specific product/disease related activities and projects.

The Oncology Franchise is growing rapidly. Within Hematology we will be launching a new product for multiple myeloma in 2020 with more indications to come within multiple myeloma.

Key Responsibilities


Sales Activities:

  • Responsible for launch and post launch of hematology product for multiple myeloma;
  • Responsible for achievement of defined sales targets;
  • Monitor sales against stated objectives and initiate corrective actions as needed;
  • Build strong relationships with KOLs and key customers to identify customer needs and drive commercial development;
  • Daily planning and follow-up on sales calls;
  • Monitor and analyze market dynamics, market potential and competitive situation;
  • Responsible for targeting and segmentation of key customers;
  • Effectively position defined products vs. competitors;
  • Prepare overall sales and detailed account plans;
  • Plan and execute on meetings/education of KOLs, nurses and other relevant stakeholders in close collaboration with colleagues;
  • Stay up-dated on national/regional market access processes affecting access to product portfolio – work in close collaboration with local market access team to support market access activities;
  • Report sales activities in CRM system and account plan;
  • Monitor and align expense budget within target areas.

Disease Awareness:

  • Educate doctors, nursing staff and pharmacists regarding product and disease area;
  • Target various HCP specialty areas to identify and diagnose new patients with in multiple myeloma;
  • Support implementation of medical projects focusing on the identification of patients.

Marketing Activities:

  • Contribute to competitive intelligence to share insights and identify opportunities according to the define product strategy, promotional tools and documentation;
  • Participate in Brand Planning process and Life Cycle Management Planning;
  • Participate in product specific brand team meetings;
  • Together with MCO Brand Manager and the Danish team develop tactics and select/develop relevant materials for target groups;
  • Collaborate closely with MCO Brand Managers regarding meetings, education etc..

About You


  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales with specialty care products (Hematology and/or oncology preferred);
  • Proven excellent clinical selling skills;
  • High personal drive and commitment;
  • Self-motivate and flexible personality;
  • Able to work in teams and yet self-driven;
  • Able to work in a matrix organization;
  • Creative thinking;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross- functionally;
  • Ability to work under pressure in balancing a large number of differing tasks within a limited deadline;
  • Good analytical skills with an emphasis on problem solving;
  • High level of knowledge relating to the treatment of highly specialized disease area;
  • Goal oriented personality;
  • Fluent in Danish.
