Are you passionate about working with contract manufacturing and thriving in a dynamic and international environment with many stakeholders? Then you might be the new Operations Manager we are looking for to join our department, Global Contract Manufacturing Operations.

The department

Our Corporate Vice President (CVP) area Global Contract Manufacturing is a part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization and responsible for all Novo Nordisk contract and license manufacturing of semi-finished and finished drug products to global markets. Our main office is in Bagsværd, Denmark.

The primary role of Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) Operations is to monitor and control the production handled by Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and ensure delivery of products from the CMOs to our respective customers. Our CMOs are located all over the world.

In GCM Operations, you will join a department of 11 highly dedicated and talented colleagues.

We are responsible for all operation towards our CMOs and sourcing products into Novo Nordisk according to the demand from our production sites and customers world-wide.

The position

As Operations Manager in GCM Operations, your overall objective is to ensure stable and reliable planning, production and release of products. This is done in close collaboration with our Quality and Logistics departments. Your job is to support the entire operation with handling of deviations, change requests, customer complaints and other important tasks, to ensure products can be released in a good flow.

You will have a wide range of stakeholders, both internally in Novo Nordisk and at our CMOs.

Additionally, you will participate in some of our reporting processes e.g. monthly forecast, performance analysis, reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driving/participating in optimization projects. In this role, you will need good communication skills and a structured approach to the tasks at hand, in order to gain commitment from both internal and external stakeholders.

Our CMOs are located around the world; hence some travel activity can be expected.

The position is temporary for 2 years.

Qualifications

You hold an academic degree within a relevant discipline, e.g. Engineering, Pharmacy or have relevant experience, typically obtained from a pharmaceutical production. We also encourage recently graduated candidates to apply and we will ensure the necessary training.

You have a positive and open mind-set and you are good at building relationship and communicating across cultures. You enjoy working independently and proactively in a dynamic environment, with many tasks to coordinate and execute on, changing priorities and strict deadlines. You have a strong quality mind-set and solid analytical skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
