Join E-commerce Logistics, one of the newest teams at Maersk, aimed at solving how brands handle e-commerce logistics from factory to sofa. As the Senior Platform Product Owner, you will be in charge of developing the customer experience across the E-commerce Logistics platform in concert with other teams at Maersk and with up to 3 UX/UI designers reporting to you.

Maersk is organized in platforms and E-commerce Logistics is a newly started platform on the foundation of three acquisitions in 2021. The platform is in its infancy, which means you’ll be able to contribute not just to product development, but also to the platform team and its ways of working overall. The role is senior – job level 5 of 9 in total – and it is expected that you can handle owning the overarching customer experience, as well as managing a small team of UX/UI designers. You should expect and welcome the content of this role to change as you successfully ship solid experiences and move on to new ones.

This role is inherently cross-functional, and you will work closely with other teams at Maersk to deliver on our value proposition - for instance the teams owning maersk.com and the other Senior Platform Owners in E-commerce Logistics. You’ll be highly focused on alignment of other teams, synthesizing customer needs and working with UX/UI designers on validating prototypes. However, you may not have a dedicated engineering team available full time, because you’ll be working across a lot of engineering teams, influencing UX decisions, and covering a lot of ground. A large part of the role will be stakeholder management and if you aren’t already familiar with the operational planning processes first shared by Amazon, you will get to know those intimately.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies, business models and capabilities into high quality, simple products that deliver what they promise.

Key responsibilities


  • Own and manage the full E-commerce Logistics customer experience, including consolidating existing customer experiences from the acquisitions

  • Work with one or more distributed engineering teams, but not necessarily teams dedicated full time to you

  • Work closely with the business stakeholders to deliver the right product

  • Work with the technology stakeholders to define the technology approach

  • Manage the tech resource allocation to deliver business priorities

  • Make smart trade-offs between time, scope and resources

  • Mentor a team of UX/UI designers who will work across all teams in the E-commerce Logistics platform

  • Define and execute roadmaps in collaboration with your team, peers and stakeholders


We are looking for


  • Ability to synthesize customer needs and insights and communicate the results with great clarity

  • Passionate about technology as a way to change logistics forever

  • Experience managing complex roadmaps in collaboration with technology, science, UX and business

  • Knowledgeable about how logistics power e-commerce

  • Desire to work in a new team, where there are more questions than answers

  • Skilled mentor and demonstrated success in growing UX/UI designers

  • Ability to work across time zones and cultures in North America, Europe and Asia


This is a global role and you can be located in North America (Utah is preferred ) or Europe (Denmark, The Netherlands, Spain or Portugal is preferred).
