Opportunity

Maersk Air Cargo (MAC) has a vast experience in air freight within Europe and currently has a fleet of almost 20 Boeing 767 freighters. Operating out of Cologne and Leipzig, Germany, and Billund, Denmark. We are soon expanding our portfolio with 2 Boeing 777s to support our own long-haul operation out of Billund, Denmark.

We are headquartered in Lyngby, Denmark, and are now looking for a CAMO Base Maintenance Planner to undertake scheduling of our heavy maintenance programme and being the customer technical representative (Techrep) on site at the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation.

We offer:

An open-minded workplace with a scope for your own ideas. We have a focus on both professional and personal development. Great work conditions with a good and informal tone, where everybody contributes to solutions to the daily challenges across all departments.

What you'll be doing:

You will be part of a dedicated team based out of our headquarter in Lyngby, Denmark and follow all steps of the heavy maintenance process. Building the work packs, following the check on site at the MRO from beginning to end, and perform follow-up and post-evaluation of the checks with a focus on improving the quality and delivery times of the programme moving forward.

During the busiest times of the checks there will be a lot of people depending on information and instructions from you, so you need to be skilled at structuring your own work and be able to handle various tasks at once. Overall, you thrive with working under pressure and make quick but well-reasoned decisions. Travelling is a significant part of the job with approximately 80-100 travelling days a year with durations of 3 to 6 weeks depending on the check type.

We are looking for:

  • A background within aircraft maintenance and experience with base maintenance work and the involved processes.
  • A problem solving mentality where you find great pleasure in overcoming various obstacles
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbally.
  • Your will primarily be working in a digital environment so good IT skills are essential. You are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and you are familiar navigating cloud-based information sharing solutions such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • You have a pragmatic approach to solving problems and you are keen on seeing new initiatives followed through.
  • Experience with CAMO work is an advantage.

Teamwork is a key element in your approach to your work. When in the Headquarters, you will work in your own dedicated team and with members of other departments. When on-site at the MRO, you work as a team with technicians, engineers, project managers etc. to meet the goals set out at the beginning of the programme. Needless to say, you have an open and fair approach to others.

Candidates must be able to work and reside in Denmark without company sponsorship.

If you like to be involved in almost all processes of CAMO work and aircraft maintenance, this is most certainly the position for you!
