An experienced planner able to handle a complex portfolio
Are you an experienced planner ready to take on new challenges in an international, dynamic organisation? Are you proficient with Primavera, and do you have the necessary expertise to deal with a complex project portfolio? Would you like the opportunity to combine your Primavera expertise and coordination skills in an exciting industry? Do you have what it takes to simplify cross-department resource management?
Tasks & responsibilities: You will…
…be an integral part of the Cross-Functional Planning organisation that will work conjointly with Operations, Special Projects and Service to consolidate their resource demands for labour and tools. You will confer with resource owners in Operations Support to obtain their available resource capacities, craft reports showing periods of under/over allocation, analyse the results and guide the project planners in creating scenarios which redistribute the demand. You will present these scenarios to Senior Directors for prioritisation and scenario selection, and then communicate these decisions to the Project Planners for implementation.
You will also be responsible for:
Use Primavera project schedules to consolidate a portfolio of resource demands Coordinate with resource owners in each department to obtain their available resource capacities in Excel Use Excel to compare the demand vs the capacity, identify periods where resources are over/under allocated Conduct schedule review meetings and assist in developing schedule scenarios to optimise resource utilisation Ensure that all individual schedules generated for each project are correctly resource-loaded to ensure that accurate resource demands are generated Advise various project stakeholders, responsible parties and committees, in planning and execution related issues Assist on sales and bid-management project planning requirements. Write and present formal and technical reports, working papers, and correspondence Assist other internal planners
Skills & experience: Our new colleague…
…has 5 to 10 years of experience as a planner (preferably in the energy industry) and is able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited reaction time exists. It is necessary to be target oriented with excellent communication skills, flexible to change and used to working under pressure
Required competencies:
Expert user of Primavera and MS Excel Experience in project planning, project controls systems, tools and practices, knowledge of process improvement and strong analytical skills Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment Work efficiently under pressure, juggle tasks and meet deadlines Capacity to prioritise multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly Problem solving and judgment capabilities Experience with MS Power BI is a plus
