Are you a business oriented Windchill PDMLink and CAD PLM Architect who will be highly motivated by creating and orchestrating the roadmaps for our future product developments?
Can you ensure that our IT services are appropriately designed, developed and optimised across its lifecycle?

Finance Global IT Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Global IT is responsible for IT within Vestas Wind Systems A/S. With reference to the Group CFO, Global IT covers all areas from IT strategy, business engagement and capturing to project implementations, infrastructure operations, service integration between vendors and end user support.
You will join the PTC Enterprise Platforms department inside Vestas Global IT. We are a team which supports different products (like SAP, Microsoft, PTC, …). You will be part of the PTC area where we are fully responsible for the PTC systems. Therefore, we monitor our systems, to be ahead of the end-user when something happens. We act as an advisor to the business for finding a good and stable solution with them, which can then later be deployed by us. Thereby we can secure that we have only good and smart solutions in place. At the same time, we own the technical roadmap of the PTC products and are maintaining our systems to follow the PTC release dates as close as possible and reasonable. Last but not least we are doing innovation projects on the newest PTC software releases to get a feeling of them and we use this in our advisory meetings with the business. But here we are not alone, we work closely with PTC Product Management and PTC R&D and uses the latest and greatest builds for all our PTC products. We work with nearly with all products from PTC and IoT is our strategy to collaborate and share information between PTC products and third-party integration platforms. In total we, in the PTC area, are a solid team of 5 highly skilled IT architects, specialists and consultants which are supported by other experts also. But we are an organization which is heavily developing in all PLM areas, so we are an organization that is constantly moving into new areas.
Responsibilities
You will create target architectures and solutions within the PTC Enterprise Platforms area to be carried out by Architects and Developers, internals as externals. Moreover, you will be a trusted advisor when qualifying the business functional IT requirements ensuring a Vestas holistic view.

As a PLM Architect, you are the technical leader responsible in:
- Large projects i.e. setting the stage and direction for both the solution and the architects who will deliver on this
- Collaboration with and understand of the business, being able to put yourself in their place and match it up against the IT architecture we have - seeing solution options rather than limitations
- Essential PLM products, including roadmap, updates / maintenance and not least support setup
- Pipeline processes for the end2end program in Global IT
Qualifications
This role is highly relevant for you with extensive process and experience in PTC Enterprise Plarforms portfolio and CAD focused on Windchill PDMLink, Creo Parametric and Catia V5. Furthermore, you probably have:
- A Master's degree in Information Technology (IT) or Engineering, alternatively experience which provide similar knowledge level
- Extensive experience working with IT roadmap and IT architecture design
- Proven history of designing and implementing end2end IT solutions
- Knowledge or experience with stakeholder engagement and management
- Experience from an international company with a complex IT environment
- Great communication skills and fluent in English, both verbal and in writing
Competencies
- You have deep knowledge and understanding of PLM processes such as product and module development, product engineering, document management and engineering change management
- You have experience with CAD systems functionality from IT perspective and have been working with both development and support of these.
- Understanding of interfaces between CAD and PLM systems (preferably with Creo Parametric and Catia as basis) and other interfaces e.g. PTC Windchill
- You should be good at taking decisions across matrix management and possess a solid understanding of business process mapping and business process management
- Finally, it is essential that you are motivated and a self-starter. You should be motivated by working in teams which consist of colleagues from different business units
