Vestas Supplier Quality and Development is part of Global Procurement in Vestas. We implement Vestas’ winning quality culture at the supplier with clear focus to ensure our "doing it right 1st time" philosophy focusing on mature suppliers. We are a culturally diverse team located in Denmark, Poland, Spain, and Portugal closely linked with our regional peers. We are the ambassadors of all quality topics with suppliers, e.g., enabling supplier innovation in new turbine development projects, thus driving Vestas' ambitious sustainability strategy.
Responsibilities
You will ensure quality from suppliers for select material groups used in Vestas electrical and electronics assembly, e.g., inductors, capacitors, PCB-assemblies, current transformers, busbars, metal enclosures, and other LV components.
The responsibilities range from assessment and development of suppliers to component qualification with PPAP and APQP4wind. We are being supported on the transactional clarification of non-conformities by NC coordinators and step in on severe NCs with our problem-solving experience to eliminate the root cause and drive down Cost of Poor Quality. We interface internally to engineering, sourcing and logistics as well as our internal customers, the factories. In addition to handling the supplier, our external contacts include customers conducting inspections or audits at our suppliers.
Qualifications
You have an engineering or electronics background (electrical or similar experience e.g., working with electronics) as well as proficiency in applying advanced quality methodology. Solid working experience with proven quality management and problem-solving skills can replace the need for a formal education. To succeed in this position, it is important that you are proactive and have good communication and collaboration skills enabling you to collaborate internally and influence suppliers.

Additional information
Your work location can be at Vestas’ office in Aarhus, Warsaw, Porto, or Hamburg. 30-40% travel days/year is expected.

We expect that you:
- You have solid experience within quality assurance and supplier management
- Are proficient in applying advanced quality methodology (e.g., APQP, PPAP, process analysis, statistical studies, problem solving techniques) and ideally have experience with APQP4Wind
- Are a lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and VDA 6.3. Experience with ISO 14001 / 45001 or similar standards for EHS Management Systems is desired.
- Are a Six Sigma Green Belt with continuous improvement and DMAIC practice
