You’ll be working in the BIDS division – Business Intelligence & Decision Support – where the most important task is to make a Data Warehouse available to our 120 banks, and develop solutions for their government reporting in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Norway and Sweden and supplement them with reports that give them data insight.
Data and government reports in the area range widely and cover everything from financial reports, reports within credit and risk, statistical reports to the Danish FSA and Danmarks Nationalbank in the Nordic countries, as well as anti-money laundering reports.
The area has previously used other reporting solutions. These must be phased out and all reports must be converted to Power BI reports. At the same time, there is a great demand from our banks for reports that can present their data from our Data Warehouse.

The product needs a Product Owner to determine the roadmap, enter a dialogue with sales, project managers and customers, and prepare requirements specifications and ensure implementation of new features and changes according to priorities. The tasks of the Power BI Product Owner
The data volumes in our Data Warehouse are huge and cover several different business areas. Each business area will have its own Power BI App with associated reports. As our new PO you will be in dialogue with business specialists addressing the need for reports and keep a structure on which reports belong to which Apps, and how the best structure is maintained.
This requires a basic understanding of structuring bank data in a Data Warehouse based on Teradata, spiced with experience in Power BI reports and Apps.
Your goals
Since you already are a savvy PO profile, we’ll skip the details of the job tasks for a PO and rather tell you about the successes you can anticipate in the role:
PO by heart, Financial background, and solid understanding of BI tools
Product Owners come in many different shapes and a specific degree is not what counts.
However, we are looking for experience in a BI/analytics/operations role with strong cross functional business collaboration and expertise in BI visualization tools.
You have a self-starter attitude: You’re someone who can initiate and drive complex analysis to completion with minimal guidance and then synthesize and communicate insights. Also, a get-it-done mindset: You’re motivated to work hard and efficiently in strong collaboration with stakeholders.
You have Danish and/or another Scandinavian as native language, Advanced skills in English, writing and speech.

- Delivering quick overview of available Power BI reports, their purpose, and display a roadmap for new reports.
- Have identified a solution on how to guide SDC’s banks quickly and efficiently in how to get started using the Power BI reports that SDC has developed for them.
- Found a way to effectively answer questions from sales and project managers about time horizons and estimates for developing new reports.
- Having all tasks, both future and current, described in the task management tool.
