Merchandiser – Retail Department
We are currently looking for a Merchandiser to be a key part of our Retail team. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for optimizing and managing inventory levels across Samsøe Samsøe, Envii, and external brands. This includes analyzing sales data, monitoring stock movements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective merchandise flow and stock availability.
You will also play an essential role in creating and executing merchandise plans to drive sales and maximize profitability. Close cooperation between the buyer and the planner is the key to success, as well as cooperating closely with relevant departments such as Retail, E-Commerce, Sales, Backoffice, and Logistics. You will also develop and improve the flow in terms of a constantly changing demand pattern.

Samsøe Samsøe dates back to 1993, when a small jewellery shop opened in Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter. The label soon expanded to include premium T-shirts and knitwear, primarily for men. In this position, you will
Inventory & Supply Management
- Manage and optimize auto-supply systems for Samsøe Samsøe and Envii using GoFact.
- Monitor weekly risks and potential products for Samsøe Samsøe, Envii, and external brands.
- Track stock movements across Samsøe stores and maintain block orders in BC system.
- Coordinate outlet goods for smooth operations.
- Manage SWOP processes with external brands.
Planning & Replenishment
- Manage weekly stock replenishment for external brands.
- Prepare budgets for Samsøe Samsøe, Envii, and external brands.
Sales & Analysis
- Maintain and update sales lists for Samsøe Samsøe, Envii, and external brands.
- Conduct in-season analysis for Basic and Express collections.
- Support pre-orders with analyses and prepare markdown agreements post-sale season.
- Preparing markdown agreements for external brands after each sale season.
We’d love to meet someone who possesses:
- A degree in business or economics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Experience in merchandising, inventory management, or retail.
- Experience with forecasting and inventory management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
- First-hand knowledge of demand planning /replenishment planning.
- Great skills in Microsoft Excel are a must along with knowledge of PowerBI
- Excellent numeracy and analytic skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
