Are you excited about purchasing and category management? Do you see yourself contributing to the success of Silvan by bringing in your skills and knowledge, working together with your colleagues in the procurement team? Then the Category Manager position may be the perfect fit for you.
In collaboration with the Head of Category Management and your colleagues in the department, you will be the driving force for the development of your own categories. You will be responsible for the performance of your categories and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement in collaboration with external and internal stakeholders.
Our Categories within Paint is of highly strategic importance for Silvan and we are working on several projects which are expected to bring significant value for our customers in near future. Therefore, we are looking for a new Category Manager to execute and finalize these projects.

It is important you are curious and inquisitive to gain a deep knowledge of assigned categories and projects. In addition, we expect you to have a holistic approach to your categories and concepts, where you see them in a larger perspective and avoid sub-optimization and silo thinking.

Main responsibilities
- Ensure an optimal assortment and a supplier portfolio that meets customers' needs.
- Develop strategies and concepts that match customer behaviours and preferences.
- Structure and maintain content on Silvan.dk with relevance for your categories.
- Execute holistic sales concepts.
- Monitor competitors' initiatives and pricing.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor or Master university degree.
- Experience with purchasing and category management.
- Experience from either the retail or supplier side.
- Strong analytical skills and good financial understanding.
- Super user in Excel and PowerPoint.
- English written and verbal at business level.
