After an exciting and challenging year that has included new leadership and organization within our Global Procurement team, we are now offering the position as Global Category Manager in Indirect Procurement to continue the professionalization of the area. In this role, you will be the global responsible in the areas of IT and Marketing, where you will get the opportunity to work closely with your main stakeholders, the Executive VPs of the business areas. You will act as their trusted Procurement Advisor by supporting them, locally and globally, in optimizing projects and delivering savings.
You will be managing and training a junior sourcing specialist, and together you will focus on delivering true value to the organization.
Your key areas of responsibility include:
Indirect Category Manager who enjoys bringing value to the business
You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or similar. You have at least 2 years of experience in indirect procurement, and 3 years of experience from other business areas prior to this. It is beneficial if you come from an international company where you are used to collaborating with colleagues from different cultures. You speak and write English at a high level and you have great analytical skills.
Furthermore, you have excellent skills in communication and stakeholder management on all levels, coupled with solid change management capability and strong negotiation skills. It is important that you can embrace change, enjoy an agile environment and have a continuous improvement mindset. You have great business acumen and with the ability to prioritize to maximize value for the business. You are a self-driven executor, energic and appreciate to work with other great colleagues.

- Managing procurement optimization projects (Scoping, RFx, Negotiating, Implementing)
- Developing category strategies and tracking progress on implementation hereof
- Managing contracts, optimizing compliance with SOW's and other contractual conditions
- Work closely with key business stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for procurement projects
- Seeking out additional opportunities for continuously improving the TCO within the category by scoping and getting buy-in for specific improvement projects
- Conducting fact-based negotiations with suppliers to ensure that Nilfisk gets the right quality of products, at the right time, and at the lowest total cost
- Developing and managing supplier contracts and compliance
- Executing requests for proposals (RFP) and quotations (RFQ) with high professionalism – ensuring comparability, fact-based evaluations, and timely execution
- Managing the right level of Supplier Relationship and involvement with suppliers
- Assist in developing and maturing the Indirect Procurement function
- Identify opportunities in spend patterns and market developments
