As Global Category Manager for Technical and Logistics spend, you will be joining the Global Procurement team of category managers and local site procurement managers working to support resilience and optimization of the value chain across the ALK organization. The position requires understanding of procurement practices and processes within facility management, engineering, machines/equipment and logistical flows and processes. At the same time the role requires that you thrive in partnering up with the business and that you are engaged by supporting and challenging the business in the selection of and work with supplier partners.

As a Global Category Manager you will report direct to the Vice President of Global Procurement and you will be part of a global team of in total 14 strategic category- and procurement managers, placed in both EU and US. Global Procurement’s aspirations is to provide strong leadership in the procurement process through planning, prioritization, knowledge, teamwork and transparency.

The position is located at the ALK headquarter in Hørsholm.

Fields of responsibility
- Establish Category strategies and plans in cooperation with local teams
- New supplier search and participate/lead negotiation with suppliers
- Lead risk assessment with local teams
- Facilitate harmonization and standardization of procurement processes, services and materials
- Propose and execute demand and specification of management projects
- Procurement Performance Management within the Category, achieving savings, positive cash flow, low supply risk, contract coverage etc.
- Global data analysis
- Support development of Global Procurement toolbox
- Actively participate in Global Procurement Community, trainings, workshops etc.
Your qualifications
- Minimum 4 years' experience from procurement of Technical spend and/or Logistic services
- Bachelor or master degree
- Knowledge of quality processes, such as ISO or Good Manufacturing/Distribution Practice (GMP/GDP)
- Analytical and result oriented
- Strong stakeholder management skill
- Strong knowledge and experience using the “procurement tool box”
- Strong experience with one or more of the categories mentioned
- Good English language skills
- Able to travel 35-45 days per year
- Self-initiating and curious of nature
