The functional product organization in Maersk is responsible for the geography, process, and the system. They are responsible of providing the solutions today, finding transformation and innovation opportunities for tomorrow and for ensuring a solid execution throughout the process journey. Product owners are there to drive, serve, guide, inspire and innovate for robust geography master data across One Maersk. They take input from geography and internal teams and design solutions in line with the company direction.As a Geography Master Data Functional Product Owner you will hold a pivotal role in ensuring that the vision and strategy of Maersk is embedded within the project and expected experience is delivered to our users and applications with dependency on locations.

You will work closely with the downstream product owners and technology teams to deliver end to end process design and also digital products across all Maersk entities. You will also collaborate with business functions & stakeholders from all levels, data stewards and execution team, areas in designing the solutions and delivering the positive geography and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

You will work as an individual but in conjunction with the other product owners and will report to Senior Functional Product Owner of Customer & Geography Master Data. You will also work closely with Data Stewards, Business Owners and Platform teams when it comes to data management and governance tasks.

Your key areas of responsibility will be:

· Designing the product vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes in line with the organization vision

· Manage and co-create outcomes with relevant stakeholders across functions

· Documenting process changes in form of Process maps, SOPs, and Governance control documents

. Populate and groom the product backlog and prioritize what the team should be working

. Ensuring platforms & and technology understand items in the Product Backlog to the level needed

. Identify, evaluate, and define impacts of changes and provide alternatives to the application changing

. Proactively engage with stakeholders in business, innovate and identify new ways of improving processes

. Represent the desires of an Outcome Owner and create products that will satisfy the outcomes and constantly improve them

. Work collaboratively with other PO’s and technical teams to ensure that development is being done in a complimentary fashion.

. Assume accountability for value creation by defined commercial product(s) within one or more subject areas

. Training the end users on new developments

. System testing

. Understand data governance, guidelines, business processes and usage of master data elements

. Ensure governance processes and quality guidelines are followed

. Facilitates the data approval process when there is a change to master data

. Works closely with master data owners in the master data related activities

. Recommends improvements to master data management and governance based on the various use cases and issues

Who we are looking for

We expect you to have minimum of 2+ years of experience as process owner, business change management lead or project management lead and proficiency with agile delivery models and you can demonstrate proven results.

• Knowledge of location/geography master data dependencies & processes

• A proven track record of being an effective communicator and a good presenter engages with stakeholders

• Strong collaborative mindset to drive for process and data standardization and automation

• Great coaching and facilitation skills

• Experience in implementing innovative ideas through persuasive reasoning

• A track record in change management through communication

• Data based decision making capabilities

• Sense for detail and for taking ideas from concepts to reality/execution

• Knowledge of Power BI, Maestro, SQL, Excel VBA, SAP BO, Informatica MDM tool would be added advantage
