The customer strategy manager orchestrates our customer insights efforts and actively use the insights to define and implement our segmentation. The customer strategy manager defines the service packages and implement standards for these to monitor that we consistently deliver our services according to the customer needs.

The Customer Strategy Manager will be joining our commercial enablement team, which has as primary mission to enable and lead our commercial organisation of 550+ employees to achieve our strategic goals across Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating our customer segmentation and the service packages for each segment. This consists of the following elements:

Customer Portfolio and Segmentation Model

  • Take leadership in establishing and maintaining our customer segmentation
  • Establish the relevant views to our customer base – existing as well as future
  • Project impact of changes to our customer portfolio
  • Drive the alignment for customers working across our brands

Customer Insights and Customer Engagement Model

  • Drive our customer insights approach on a global level
  • Guide our local organisations on how to collect and use customer insights
  • Use customer insights to establish global customer engagement models
  • Define service differentiation packages to our services match the needs of the customers
  • Implement service differentiation packages and monitor and adjust these
  • Define value propositions for customer segments

Strategic Customer Engagement Projects

  • Drive key strategic projects with the goal of improving the engagement with specific customer segments
  • Coordinate our Sealand approach for key strategic projects across brands and functions.

Who we are looking for

  • A commercial and customer centric mindset with ability to understand how our global engagement models can fulfill the needs of our customers
  • Have worked in a customer facing function
  • Experience with structuring bigger frameworks and drive these for scalable improvements
  • Project management experience and the ability to drive projects to success at the right quality and time
  • Experience in driving a transformational agenda
  • A background within the logistics industry and Supply Chain Management is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Maersk systems and processes is an advantage
  • Good ability to collaborate across teams
  • Great in managing a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong skills in structuring complex challenges into something simple which can be used and actioned
  • An eye for details
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Resilient, tenacious and persistent, self-motivated and performance driven
  • Curious and ready to get involved in detailed and complex solutions.
