The role of Senior Functional Product Owner Managed by Maersk is a leadership role responsible to define, own, govern and maintain global Order to Cash (OtC) processes for the Managed by Maersk service model, covering Lead Logistics and Cold Chain Logistics products. Scope of the role covers the Order-to-Cash (OtC) processes executed within the Customer Experience function.
The role actively collaborates with GSC, Areas and other stakeholders to drive process improvements enhancing the customer experience and optimizing the cost-to-serve.Lead the digital transformation of Origin and International Transport Management

  • Lead digital transformation for Origin, ITM and Document Management capabilities.
  • Work closely with Commercial product, Platform, Tech and Finance functions to identify and support in joint projects covering areas including product offering standardization, process engineering / standardization with a goal to improve the customer / user experience and productivity.
  • Ensure adoption of the new technology reaches maximum velocity and highest possible impact.

Global functional process ownership

  • Own business case creation for process improvements related to the customer experience and efficiency of working.
  • Standardize, document, own, maintain and govern global processes on Lead & Cold Chain Logistics products across the global Maersk network.
  • Increase awareness, design training/roll-out plans, drive adherence towards the standard processes and address exceptions on non-standard processes across the globe.
  • Develop tools to enable Area and GSC CX teams to simplify and execute the processes in a standard way of working including guidelines in developing SOPs and IT integrations.
  • Create a community enabling CX teams to ease the operations, reduce exceptions and share best practices.
  • Follow transformation office standards in terms of processes around tech funding and business cases.

Drive operational strategy and improvement initiatives

  • Drive efficiencies through process optimization and standardization as well as automation in close collaboration with customer service teams in Areas and GSC
  • Work on defining performance indicators to ensure Areas and GSC teams are empowered to address some of the immediate/important issues in SC operations in collaboration with related teams.
  • Instil customer centric approach balanced with standardization of the FinOps execution process, value-creating for Maersk and its customers.

Lead global functional product owner team

  • Manage a team of 6-8 Functional Product Owners covering Order Management, Shipper Booking, International Transport Management and Document Management
  • Coach, develop and nurture the area SMEs in capability building, training and coming up with improvement initiatives.
  • Develop a talent pipeline of future Product Owners and identify right talents within the organization for succession planning both in global and area SME teams.

What we are looking for

  • Ability to successfully lead a diverse team both in a direct reporting structure as well as through influencing others
  • Able to maintain a healthy balance between short-term, important priorities and the long-term vision – and to convey that to stakeholders
  • Capable to connect detailed operational concepts to what value they drive both for the company and its customers for long term benefits.
  • Ability to develop compelling business cases for improvements and get buy-in from senior stakeholders for execution.
  • Analytical with proven proficiency in translating complex concepts and business requirements into easy to understand communication.•Ability to effectively work in a remote environment with multiple stakeholders and team members across globe and in different time zones.
  • Excellent communication, networking, interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate and command respect at all levels. Ability to effectively communicate in diverse technical, cultural, and language environment.
  • 10+ years of overall supply chain experience, ideally with large SCM account management role/operational leadership/SCM product management experience.
  • Extensive and current knowledge of end to end SCM covering air, ocean and multi modal freight management concepts including understanding of job costing processes and the P&L impact.
  • Having worked in various geographies and/or having managed a scope spanning across multiple countries
  • Promote Functional Product Owner and customer experience function as an attractive place to work in terms of career progression and learning.
