The Air & LCL (Less Than Container Load) Business platform organization is looking for a Senior Platform Product Owner with an extensive experience of the CargoWise product, to closely work with our customers and internal stakeholders to design and shape the product in the Air LCL forwarding area and subsequently drive the development from a Product Owner capacity with the scrum team(s).

This role can either be based in our Denmark (Copenhagen) or North America (Charlotte).

The Business Platforms organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys, that enable Maersk customers to access standardized products and services seamlessly. The Platforms help enable Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying customers’ supply chains. Additionally, the team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems and processes, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs.

What you will do

· In collaboration with others, you will drive and define the Maersk product vision, strategy and value proposition of an Air & LCL product.

· Communicate and promote upcoming features, plans and opportunities and be an evangelist for the Air & LCL area. Customer engagements to understand our customer’s needs, pain points and business objectives.

· Own the full product lifecycle from ideation, refinement, prioritization, development, launch and maintain with a build measure learn mindset (data-driven)

· Owning the scrum team’s backlog, prioritizing and providing user stories, features and epics.

· Measures and reports the team's progress and impact on the business. This includes defining key business and product success metrics, tracking them, and improving upon them.

· Customer management, maintaining and tracking success/progress, analyzing trends, having regular interactions to get the necessary targets addressed, building relationships, and improving quality of engagement with customers.

· Internal stakeholder and dependency management where you will collaborate, co-create and coordinate deliveries with different product teams from different business areas and platforms

· Contribute to engineering and architectural discussions around technology outcomes and strategy related to the product area.

Finally, you will spearhead, plan and report the ongoing work in relevant forums and communities. You will be working in a social environment that requires you to be a communicative person with good abilities to build and maintain strong relationships. You need to manage and help the development teams while displaying the owner's mentality. You will work in a tight dialogue with your manager to support the growth and development of the team members through sharing feedback on team members. You will also, on a regular base share the vision and budget with relevant parties to strategically fill potential resource gaps.

Who you are

Most important is your personality and desire to drive and evolve customer facing software products with an ecosystem mindset. Structured but at the same time a person that has an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. Besides that, a university degree in a relevant field and many years of experience in product ownership/management. As a person you have an interest in both tech and business and the potential opportunities in that intersection. You are used to taking ownership, building relationships and can communicate and manage stakeholders on different levels. Having an owner's mentality is vital for this role with an outstanding ability to coach, spearhead and encourage others.

Great to have

* Good understanding of Logistics and Services, particularly Airline Forwarding and WMS products and processes

* 7+ years of experience and knowledge of the CargoWise forwarding solution

• Ability to apply agile and logical techniques for creating user stories and acceptance criteria

• Ability to build and enhance complex products

• Ability to take ownership of complex and important products, and find solutions

• Highly skilled strategic planning, issues management and implementation.

• Skilled in seeing the journey from End-to-End perspective.

• Experience in a complex global forwarding organization

• High degree of organization, personal initiative and personal accountability
