Development-oriented Control Engineer to help accelerating a sustainable energy transition

Green Hydrogen Systems is already well established in the market and ready to take on a position as one of the world’s leaders in developing and producing electrolysis plants that use electricity from renewable energy and water to produce green hydrogen.

Development and Innovation - part of your DNA
The Control Engineer we are looking for will be responsible for both scoping, planning and developing digital twins.

You will ensure that the digital twin is functional and applicable for software- and process engineers. It needs to fulfil the requirements set both internally and externally. You develop, test and implement new control strategies for optimisation and improve existing ones.

In this position you will be a key participant in setting the direction for process and control simulation in Green Hydrogen Systems.

More specifically, some of your tasks are:

  • Development, optimization, documentation and maintenance of digital twin

  • Simulation and optimization of new control strategies (implementation of control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink, Python or similar)


  • Testing and data analysis of control strategies on prototype electrolysis units

  • Training in and presentation of the digital twin to colleagues and other stakeholders


Is this position the dream position for you – or your “twin”?
Preferably, you hold a MSc. within Control Engineering/Electrical engineering/Data Science or similar.

You have approximately 5 years of work experience within the energy/oil/gas/wind sector or similar field.

Further, you have already worked with building digital twins, control strategy setting and optimisation and control technology for fluid power systems - and have excellent result from this work.

As for modelling and simulation tools you are experienced in for example; MATLAB/Simulink, Python. Ideally, you also have experience with process engineering software like HYSYS, DWSIM or similar.

It is an advantage (but not mandatory) that you have worked with Beckhoff PLC platform, have knowledge about electrolysis plants, safety and reliability and have experience with in-the-loop testing of models/hardware/software.

As a person people often characterise you as open-minded and a team player.

You take responsibility and have a structured way of working. Further, you are off course passionate about working with simulation and the development of digital twins.
