Are you capable of leading your team towards growth, charting the course of robust processes and methodology for market-driven innovation? Then you may be the person we are looking for to join our client McBride in Holstebro in Denmark.
Strategic key position focused on scalable growth through innovation and formalisation
The Product Development Manager reports directly to the Head of Product Development & Product Sustainability based at the company’s headquarters in Manchester in the UK. You will lead a team of two highly dedicated R&D professionals through motivation and engagement making sure that the right competences are in place. You enable development of new and optimisation of existing formulas, and you will manage, co-ordinate and control the formulation portfolio for your technology domain by proactively ensuring cost efficiency and removing complexity. Your main areas of responsibility among others include:
You will be interacting with many stakeholders internationally, across the group, and you must expect travel activity corresponding to 25-35 days a year.
R&D engineer with a strong drive to improve the status quo
You may hold an engineering degree, preferably chemical engineering, but most importantly, you are experienced within innovation and development processes. You may have gained your experience working for an international, development-oriented manufacturer. Leading your team and pitching in when needed comes natural to you. You like to challenge the status quo, and you are capable of inspiring your stakeholders in a change process. Furthermore, you are proactive and collaborative, and you understand the importance of strong and trusting cooperation across the organisation and across cultures. Your solid understanding of processes and your systematic approach enable you to create results based on independent execution. With your persistence, your drive and your focus on targets and results, it comes natural to you to take the lead and chart the course. Finally, you have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Danish and English.

- Ensuring compliance with processes and procedures and looking for improvement opportunities
- Leading the laboratory team to deliver the technology centre priorities, ensuring that the specified objectives for price, quality, timing, safety and environment are met
- Ensuring that appropriate action is taken to highlight the need for development of a new product or for instigating re-engineering of existing products
- Setting day-to-day priorities, working with the team to ensure the highest level of service for internal and external stakeholders
- Allocating resources for technical support on supply chain-related projects
