Become a part of our Product Portfolio Management team
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. Therefore, we are looking for a new Product Manager to join our Product Management team in our Heat/Cooling division.

With a direct reference to our Head of Portfolio Management, you will become a part of our Product Portfolio team consisting of five dedicated colleagues, who all strive to maximize Kamstrup’s Heat/Cooling business through product lifecycle management. Together we are dedicated to globally develop and maintain Kamstrup’s future heat/cooling product portfolio. We collect and identify customer needs within our key markets in the surrounding environment of utilities and implement this knowledge in the product and solutions strategy development and implementation. Furthermore, you will join a positive, open and dedicated department where your personal competences and results are key for the success of the team.

An exciting job with focus on developing our service business
In the newly established position as Product Manager , you will have the full ownership of our service offerings, which includes the full accountability for the profitability of the offerings. As the owner of the service business strategy it will be your responsibility to create and execute on the service roadmap based on customer needs and value propositions. You represent the voice of the customer in new product development projects where you are responsible for the launch activities in relevant markets. This will be done in close collaboration with customers, sales, R&D, operation hosting, marketing, product management in other business areas and of course with colleagues in the Heat/Cooling Division.

More specific you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and ensuring return on investments
  • Defining cost targets for operating and maintaining service products on the market
  • Defining product strategy and roadmap based on market requirements and business goals
  • Ensuring a clear pricing strategy for your portfolio
  • Reporting on cost and profitability performance of the product program in the market(s)
  • Securing optimum product launches in close cooperation with marketing

In the job, you can expect up to 20 travel days per year.

Personality matters
You have a background in either commercial business development combined with a great interest for innovation and technical solutions or a technical background combined with commercial mindset and experience. Moreover, you have at least 5 years of documented experience in converting customer in-sights into value propositions as this will be a key element of the job, preferably in relation to services. Finally, a basic understanding from the energy industry will be considered an advantage.

As a person you are analytical and driven by your desire to create change. You challenge status quo in order to inspire us to become even more profitable and scalable. You are self-driven and possess a proactive mind-set which gives you the ability to reach the given goals within the deadline. You master the art of creating relationships and you thrive with a wide range of contacts. You are good at getting acquainted with new things, why you are quick to familiarize yourself with new technologies and use these in a commercial and customer-facing context. You pride yourself in your ability to create value to our customers though a deep customer understanding which is created by relations and dialogue. Moreover, you have a structured approach to your tasks, and it is natural for you to work based on deadlines.

It is a requirement that you master English in writing and speaking. Danish and German will be an advantage.
