AGCO’s Research & Advanced Engineering center in Randers, Denmark is searching for a new Technical Project Manager to lead the technology development projects within the Harvesting product group.

Though based locally in Randers, you will become part of our global Engineering organization and play a key role in the development of advanced technologies and concepts for our global product portfolio of harvesting machineries and related technologies and services.

You will work alongside with the design teams for crop flow and crop processing and be responsible for the planning and execution of experimental testing and early prototyping for design space exploration and pre-development. Your project deliverables will be a functional proven concept and a set of design criteria’s for the subsequent product maturing and implementation within the design teams.

In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the electronics and software team in Randers with the planning and execution of practical experiments, data collection and validation across various technology projects

Tasks & responsibilities

• Ideation and trend scouting enabling future technology concepts and system solutions in agriculture

• Project management of research & advanced engineering projects related to crop flow and crop processing

• Direct communication with global design teams, cross-functional stakeholders and end-users to identify, understand and prioritize requirements

• Design of experiments for crop processing applications in an agricultural environment (virtual, lab and field environments)

• Analysis, evaluation and presentation of test results

• Close collaboration with global engineering design teams for iterative design validation and optimization

• Collaboration and management of external technology partners and contract engineering resources

• Management of project schedules and budgets according to AGCO’s global processes and governance models for product development

Competences and qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering

• Experience with project management of global engineering or research projects

• Broad experience with system analysis, validation and development of agricultural machinery

• Specific experience with combines and/or other harvesting machinery is a great advantage • Domain knowledge and basic understand of agriculture processes across the cropping cycle

• Practical experience with service and operation of agriculture machinery

• Basic experience with PDM management and PTC CREO or similar 3D CAD design

• Familiar with methods and tools for Design Of Experiments
