Do you want to make your mark on offshore wind turbine blade maintenance projects? Are you a skilled project and stakeholder manager with a soft spot for game-changing green solutions?
We are currently looking for a maternity cover, who temporarily will be taking over the role of Project Manager within Special Projects. The cover is expected to last from January 2021 until June 2022.
Tasks & responsibilities: You will…
…ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget and scope following the required safety and quality standards. You will work closely with the line manager and ensure that the project is staffed adequately. It will also be your responsibility to actively manage relationships with Operations, Service, HSE and project team members as well as other internal stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
Managing and leading the project organisation Engaging the project team in continuous improvement Day-to-day communication and alignment with the customer and service managers Ensuring effective project planning and control Monitoring project progress, budget and performance on a continuous basis Managing the work of sub-contractors, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a cooperative and successful team Reporting and escalating to the line manager or Steering Group as needed Performing risk management to minimise project risks Managing and maintaining project documentation and ensure all reporting requirements are met on time and meet MHI Vestas’ high quality standards
Skills & experience: Our new colleague…
…has 3-5 years of experience from a similar industry. You have good knowledge of the Stage Gate model and hold a relevant education, e.g. an engineering or contractual background, project management or similar. Product understanding and awareness, risk management competencies and commercial acumen are also essential skills. As a person, you pay attention to detail, are a self-starter and a strong decision maker. You enjoy working in teams and can coach and counsel your colleagues. It is important, that you have excellent communication and English skills.
