We are looking for a Manager to lead our Blade team. The team is part of our Engineering department placed in our Technical Management organisation in Technology.
Responsibilities & tasks: You will…
…. lead, motivate and inspire the Blade Engineering team and be responsible for building and maintaining an agile and highly independent team of blades, composite materials and coating specialists. You will be overall responsible for the performance and the deliveries, setting the direction and providing the framework that the team acts within.
The Manager for the Blade team will also act as individual contributor within the team on selected projects and activities and deliver strong technical sparring and support to the team.
You will report to Head of Engineering and lead the team proactively and driving a collaborative approach and ensuring good stakeholder management, within Technology as well as the rest of our organisation.
Furthermore, you will:
Drive technical involvement in projects related to blades, composite materials and coatings Ensure collaboration with manufacturing sites, with focus on blade manufacturing Drive collaboration with Operation, with focus on blade handling and repair
Furthermore, the Manager will ensure general alignment with functions and processes in Technology.
Skills & experience: Our new colleague…
……has several years of experience with either manufacturing or engineering of large structural components of composite materials. Your educational background can be either within chemicals or plastic/composite materials. We expect you to have some experience from a people management role or leadership role. To succeed in this role, you must have experience with driving collaboration across a larger organisation and managing various internal stakeholders. Ideally you have experience working with blades for WTG’s. Preferably you have experience with repair methods on composite materials, in production environment and in-situ.
