Let’s talk about the role Novo Nordisk is currently operating on SAP ECC as the ERP system and have embarked the transformation towards S/4 HANA under our NextGenSAP program. The position of Product Owner supporting S/4 HANA deployment is responsible to prepare and drive the definition of product vision and roadmap while closely working with stakeholders – mainly the Business Owners - to establish the product vision and drive the execution of the vision with the Agile teams anchored in Agile Release Train context. Your primarily tasks will include:
  • Build the product roadmap and help track leading indicators for the features and Return on Investment (ROI)
  • In cooperation with stakeholders and Product Management prepare the program backlog for Program Increment (PI) planning to ensure execution of the roadmap.
  • Prepare and participate in PI planning and Program Increment execution and define PI objectives and clarify stories and priorities
  • Build, prioritize and maintain team backlog and ensure it is up to date with input from the Agile team, System Architects and LoB stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand key drivers for deliveries to enable ongoing prioritization and content elaboration.
  • Ensure the Agile team is delivering according to its commitment and work with the Agile team daily overcoming challenges and clarifying questions to ensure flow
  • Contribute in team events and in cooperation with the Agile team, other Product Owners and stakeholders prepare for the events by clarifying dependencies, priorities and ensure that stories meet the Definition of Ready as defined by the Agile team.

  • Master`s or similar degree with strong business insight and knowledge is required
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • You are able to set direction and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation.
  • You are able to translate strategy into ambitious goals with clear priorities and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • You are structured and focused on driving outcomes and demonstrate agility and adapt quickly to changes.
  • You are able to hold self and others accountable and are good at delegating and empowering others to take action.
  • You have a political flair to navigate in a global organisation.
  • You possess general SAP logistics competences within various modules like (SD, MM, PPPI, QM, etc.)
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with S/4 HANA implementation.
  • On a personal level you show proactive ownership of the Agile team deliveries. Besides, you have great time management and organisation skills along with the ability to prioritise on an ongoing basis. You are an excellent communicator and comfortable working with different countries across multiple time-zones. About the DD&IT Product Supply unit DD&IT Product Supply is a unit responsible for more than 40 global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support and development of these systems. The strategic objective of the unit is to be the IT partner for the business ensuring that we provide the IT solutions and support which is needed to support the Novo Nordisk production solution as well as supply chain needs worldwide. The systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc. This includes SAP logistics modules like Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management(MM), Advanced planner Optimiser (APO), Plant Maintenance(PM), Quality Management(QM), Production Planning and Process Industry(PPPI), Warehouse Management(WM/EWM), Advanced Track and Trace for pharmaceutical( ATTP), Global Batch Traceability (GBT) modules which are among the most critical IT systems in Novo Nordisk and they are used 24x7 by thousands of NN users worldwide.
