As Manager of the Project Office, you will report to the Vice President of Business Intelligence, Project Office and Sustainability and work alongside talented colleagues from other Corporate Procurement’s CoEs in data and advanced analytics, project management and procurement excellence, and sustainability, with a collaborative atmosphere, informal culture, and inclusive working environment.
You will be responsible for: Running strategic projects at the top of the Global Procurement organisation’s agenda (e.g., identifying and executing optimisation projects related to organisation and processes, driving large outsourcing initiatives) Leading and developing a team of 6-7 highly talented and ambitious project managers with consulting and/or procurement backgrounds This is a unique opportunity for personal and professional development working in a high-performance culture where we take pride in being a great place to work and delivering value to Novo Nordisk while maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Qualifications
To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: 3-5 years of experience from a top tier management consulting firm Solid procurement experience, including experience with hands-on sourcing projects Leadership experience Master’s degree (e.g. in economics, business administration, finance, engineering, supply chain management or similar) with excellent results Fluency in English As a person, you have strong drive, structured approach, and ability to create results, with excellent interpersonal skills, a flair for stakeholder interactions, and ability to motivate others and communicate clearly and concisely. You will join the Project Office team within Corporate Procurement, an in-house management consulting unit that runs global, strategic, high-impact projects. You will get a unique chance to develop your leadership skills, use your project management toolbox to make a difference and have ample exposure in a global organisation in a time where procurement excellence is prominent on the corporate agenda. In Corporate Procurement we are 150 employees in Denmark and India, and globally more than 400 people work in Procurement throughout the organization managing approx. 75% of Novo Nordisk’s spend and responsible for setting the strategic direction. Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s Center of Excellence for category strategies, digital procurement, and purchasing processes. We pride ourselves on fostering a global mindset, dedication to business partnering and a relentless focus on creating rewarding careers for our people. Further, we manage our business by building strategies and executing improvement projects to optimize our processes.
