At Phase One we are looking to add a dedicated project manager to lead and coordinate some of our key development projects – involving external and internal resources.
You will be part of a highly motivated and skilled R&D team that designs and develops some of the worlds most advanced digital camera solutions.
You will be working closely together with our internal core team of specialists – based in Japan, Israel and Denmark. You will have a key role in defining the projects and deliver some of worlds most advanced camera solution e.g., within optics. Much of the actual design implementation is executed in close cooperation with external partners, so an interest in- and experience with - specialized suppliers is key.
The interfacing with - and (contract) management of - the selected external partners will be your responsibility. You will also play a key role in the interface between R&D and our partners and will be a driving force in our change process towards becoming a more flexible and scalable team.
On a day-to-day basis, you will support your project team in their daily efforts to solve technical challenges on time. You will be overall responsible for your projects and ensure that projects are able to deliver through the right capabilities and planning, including collaborative planning within the framework of our portfolio of projects. You succeed by applying a style of collaboration and creation of ownership among team members.
The job function is based in Copenhagen, but you will be operating in close cooperation with colleagues across the R&D sites of Phase One and also with external partners in DK and abroad - consequently some travel activity may occur.
You will be reporting to the VP for R&D and must be prepared to e.g. present for the board of directors if need be.
Your background & skills
You have a relevant Engineering degree, combined with a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing device-related projects with high-end quality requirements and demands.
You have previously managed projects with complex demands for production and testing, and you know what it takes to constantly develop the products to match compliance standards of new markets and clients. Furthermore, experience in working with Asian technology partners is advantageous.
We work in a dynamic and challenging environment, so you must be able to prioritize and take responsibility for resolving challenges, also when the solution is not obvious. You thrive in the decision-making role where drive, teamwork, and time management are key words, and you know how to win support by practicing a style of involvement, clear communication, and leadership.
Your working style is analytical and structured, and you always have an eye for the detail. Personally, you take initiative combined with team spirit, and you can both support and engage the teams. Your language skills include proficiency in fluent English.
