As a part of the Strategy and Transformation function you will play a key role in our Transformation Management Office (TMO), driving the project management capability build-up within STG, including the methodology, tools and education for the Project Management Community. Currently, the TMO drives 2 global transformation programs – Fuelling the Growth and integration of former Royal Agio Cigars into STG. The programs contain a number of projects, including growth strategies and launches for key business units, simplification of products portfolio, optimization of the global logistics set-up, establishment of a global procurement organisation, establishing new ways of working and a more agile organization. All these elements contribute to increasing shareholder value by raising earnings capabilities, driving efficiencies and stimulating market share growth, and are on top of the agenda for our CEO and Executive Board.
The job
As an experienced project manager, you will ensure the projects are running smoothly and collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders across geographies and functions, including project leads and initiative owners, to deliver transformation objectives. This position has high exposure to the organization, and can be a great step in transitioning to a leadership role.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
You will be working out of our head office in Gentofte, Denmark, reporting to SVP, Strategy and Transformation, and should anticipate approx. 15-30 travels days per year.
What is needed to succeed?
In addition to having a solid and relevant business background and strong communication skills, you should have approximately 5 years of experience as a project manager, working in an international environment with large projects/programs. You enjoy working with numbers and have excellent Excel skills. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of practical experience, preferably also within a project management office, and truly understands how the business is run. You find an inner ignition in strategic matters but also take great pride in getting into the dynamics of transformational projects. You work in a systematic, structured and analytical way, and you are motivated by navigating between many internal stakeholders in an international organization.
About the department
You will join the Strategy and Transformation department in the Group’s head office. We have built a cross-functional team focusing on driving consumer insights, contributing to corporate and BU strategy development, and running transformational programs. We are excited about impactful tasks ahead of us, and are therefore expanding the department with this position. The department is involved in the world-wide business of Scandinavian Tobacco Group which includes subsidiaries in approx. 20 countries and export sales to more than 100 countries.

The job

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Drive strategic and transformational projects / programs are delivered on time, in budget and with the desired results
- Step-in as project manager when necessary to ensure progress on milestones and deliverables
- Participate in implementation of strategic initiatives and support strategic analysis
- Own the project management capability within the company including a professional project and portfolio tool
- Own the STG Project Execution Model (PEM)
- Help to embed change management skills into our projects
- Provide content and train STG colleagues in Project Management skills and the PEM model
- Hold sparring meetings with our strategic project managers and run the Project Management Community meetings
- Regularly review STG projects portfolio across strategic and transformational projects, and support prioritization for Executive Board
