About the department
The department is an established project management organisation (PMO) made up of project coordinators and project managers, headed up by the project director. We are moving a brand new device through development and into upscaling. Organizationally, the team is growing and the need to work with numerous stakeholders across Novo Nordisk is increasing.
We are a part of Novo Nordisk Device Research & Development, which is the area responsible for the development of medical devices for self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. We invented the market for insulin injection devices with the launch of the world’s first insulin pen in 1985 and aim to further advance our offerings to people living with diabetes or other chronical diseases and their healthcare professionals through new technologies, including Digital Health solutions.
The position
You will take up a role in the PMO where you will have the responsibility of planning activities and dependencies of new drug variants utilizing the brand new device platform we are developing, as well as coordinating activities in the overall platform program.
You will ensure continual alignment of team plans with Lead Engineer (LE), Senior Project Manager (SPM), peer Team Leaders (TL) and Project Coordinators/Managers. Additionally, you will ensure alignment with key project stakeholders such as Global Marketing, production, drug product development, regulatory affairs, medical & science, and sister projects. You will regularly give input to management presentations on your area of responsibility, covering plans and risks.
In addition to the project-specific deliverables, you are expected to take a leading role in driving process improvement activities and ensure that we grow our organizational capabilities within your area of responsibility.
Qualifications
You have a MSc degree in engineering or similar, and preferably a demonstrated track record of good communication and coordination. In addition to being structured yourself, you can help others structure their ideas and needs. Experience in a project coordination and/or project management role is a plus. Experience from the pharma industry or similar fields and experience with executing projects in a highly regulated environment is preferred.
On a personal level, you are pro-active and thrive with driving tasks independently to the finish line. As you have a structured approach to your work, you can juggle several tasks while prioritising your efforts optimally by keeping the bigger picture in mind.
You possess a great business sense and excel at engaging people to achieve their best while complementing project specified goals. You are a natural leader and you quickly build strong working relationships with all types of stakeholders from different backgrounds.
You will be exposed broadly to several parts of the organisation, and for the right candidate the position can easily be used to accelerate career opportunities.
