Temporary position as Process Engineer with medical device production experience to support our global production network.
Are you eager to work with some of the best and most innovative medical devices and ensure that process reliability goes hand in hand with a strong quality focus? Then it is your chance to join as Process Engineer in Global Finished Product Support (GFPS) in Device Manufacturing Development (DMD).
About the team
You will join the GFPS team, a dedicated and highly competent team which is a part of the Assembly & Packaging department in DMD. The team works at the crossroad between Device R&D, Quality and Production. Our field of expertise on the assembly and packaging processes covers extensive device knowledge down to a component level, risk assessment and operational principles. We primarily support our pen injector device production processes and conduct technical investigations of customer complaints.
The position
The position is a 2 year temporary position as Process Engineer in the GFPS team, where you will work as a very hands-on technical expert and support our global production. You play a key role in supporting the moulding, assembly and packaging processes of our medical devices. We do this to secure our products are in compliance with quality- and GMP requirements.
In particular, you will provide expert inputs assessing defect’s impact on device functionality, product quality and patient safety. These inputs support our global production of devices in how to solve deviations. Furthermore, our technical investigations help our customer complaint unit to ensure a fast and effective handling of complaints.
Qualifications
You have a Master’s degree in engineering, pharmaceuticals, or a similar field combined with minimum 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing within moulding, assembly or packaging of medical devices. You may have experience within project coordination and have acquired solid GMP knowledge. It is considered an asset if you know LEAN, and a strong quality mind-set is considered a prerequisite for success in this position.
On a personal level, you are enthusiastic and committed. You are analytical and are strong at systematic problem-solving. You also possess excellent cooperation and communication skills as your ability to interact with colleagues at various organisational levels is a key point to achieve success in this position. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with high expectations to your ability to drive results both individually and through others.
As you will be involved in and responsible for various training activities throughout our global production network, it is important that you want to work with learning and education.
