The position
Once you step into your new Senior Project Manager role in one of our packaging projects or Programs, you will oversee international cross-organizational projects and work packages. Your main responsibilities include: Leading a local project team and collaborate with international highly skilled engineers and specialists responsible for the implementation of highly innovative packaging lines Overseeing projects from the early development phase to the post-launch stage of our medical device/combination product pipeline Managing a wide range of stakeholders both within Novo Nordisk and externally Initiating, executing, and finalizing projects within our established project execution framework Acting as the crucial link between workgroups, steering groups, project owners, project governance, and key stakeholders Developing effectively the team and serving as a role model for other Project Managers Reporting and communicating at various organizational levels and forums will be a natural and integral part of project management. Occasional overseas travel may be required for this position, with approximately 10-20 days per year. Finally, as a member of the team, we will encourage you to contribute to the continuous improvement of our everyday work as well as more tactical initiatives.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you: Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or similar, with a minimum of 5 years’ solid project management, preferably in a regulated industry Possess broad expertise in utilizing project tools, implementing effective reporting mechanisms, and efficiently tracking project progress Have the ability to refine key messages for management level reporting, ensuring effective communication across all levels Demonstrate proven capability in driving multiple projects simultaneously with a methodical approach, handling demands with efficiency and effectiveness Display strong written and verbal proficiency in English As a person, you possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, adeptly engaging with stakeholders across various levels and complexities. Your strategic mindset and efficient prioritization are proved by your ability to set clear direction for the team, drive performance, and maintain a balance between quality and speed, all while showcasing a pragmatic approach. Respecting and incorporating others' opinions and viewpoints, even when they differ from your own, enables you to effectively lead the team, serving as a role model for other Project Managers. Packaging is a large department within DMD, currently consisting of more than 40 team members. DMD is responsible for the industrialisation of all medical devices at Novo Nordisk. We are an end-to-end corporate organisation developing products for high volume production, establishing control strategy of the products, improving, and implementing the production equipment at the production sites in different parts of the world. Finally, it is our ambition to drive change by discovering and putting in practice novel digital solutions to our processes. You can look forward to an exciting job in a leading project, as well as engaging with and creating consensus among multiple stakeholders at global and local level. As high potential collaborator in the department, you will be able to take up a lot of responsibility and gain support to develop.
