About the department
Device R&D is an area within our Global R&D organisation. We develop medical devices for self-treatment, supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. Device R&D is located at a state-of-the-art R&D facility in the greater Copenhagen area and has a long and outstanding track record for developing the best, most innovative and widely used delivery devices in the world. Device Development is responsible for bringing device projects from mid phases to launch, and we look forward to welcoming a new talented Senior Project Manager.
The Position
As Senior Project Manager in Device Development, you will have both project and people responsibility with one or more device projects. You will lead an international development team of highly skilled engineers and designers responsible for development and maintenance of our drug delivery systems. Here, you will be responsible for one or more project teams, working from the mid to the late phases of our device development pipeline. You will manage a wide range of stakeholders within Novo Nordisk and manage the right balance between high level of innovation and fast and effective project execution.
As a line manager, you will be responsible for the short- and long-term motivation of the project team, ensuring and driving high performance and the development of your people.
Furthermore, as a member of the Device Development management team, you will contribute to the organisational development of the area through the Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications
We expect you to hold an academic degree within a relevant technical area. You must have experience within project management, including a minimum of 2 years of documented experience from cross-organisational projects. Furthermore, you have a minimum of 5 years of experience with one or more of our core competences: technical innovation, integrated product development, patenting activities etc. Lastly, you are proficient in both spoken and written English.
On a personal level, you have good communication skills and are proficient in stakeholder management. You can set the direction and drive performance, ensuring high quality and high speed. You are a person who is motivated by leadership, innovation and project management, and who is eager to make a difference in Device R&D management team.
