Senior Project Director

In the newly established position as Senior Project Director at MC2, you will be responsible for leading the project progress and success for one or multiple projects. You will be facilitating strategic discussions and decision-making, communicating with all relevant stakeholders across functions, and ensuring timely execution of the project(s), with an operational, hands-on approach.
You will mainly be leading MC2s late-stage development projects.
With direct report to Head of Project Management Jon Bondebjerg and in close coorporation with the rest of the MC2 organization.
Your key responsibilities are:
Your qualifications include +10 years of experience in leading projects in R&D drug development with experience in late-stage (preferably Phase 3) development projects across multiple line organizations (e.g. CMC, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Access and Commercial) from an international perspective. You are experienced from a matrix-driven pharmaceutical or biotechnological company with managing late-stage projects. You are proficient in English and preferably Danish, both written and spoken and must be highly skilled in MS Office.
You have a master’s degree and probably a PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Pharmacy, or the like, combined with solid project management experience from pharmaceutical companies, and preferably also from biotech.
You are a person with strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead colleagues across line organizations outside of reporting relationships with your excellent organizational and communication skills. You work in a structured way, have a can-do attitude, and have great patience and integrity. You thrive in a dynamic environment that is characterized by a high pace. You are ambitious with an entrepreneurial mindset and the will and ability to work hands-on with practical issues as well as have a strategic overview. Most important, you want to be a part of a growing company where innovation and initiative are fundamental.

- Lead project(s) execution from late-stage clinical phases to commercial activities
- Create integrated project plans; implement and monitor progress against project plans and revise as necessary
- Define critical path, at-risk activities, interdependencies, anticipate bottlenecks, and clear barriers to progress
- Recommend composition of a cross-functional team, including changes as project evolves; foster excellent cross-functional collaborative spirit and approach
- Lead cross-functional teams in:
- Prioritizing activities and problem-solving to meet milestones and timelines
- Ensuring all members are aligned on project progress, key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Lead preparation of materials for internal updates
- Set agenda and objectives and lead Project Reviews, as well as communicate decisions made, action items, and minutes to all relevant stakeholders
- Lead/contribute to operational initiatives, as needed; examples could include:

- Scenario planning and forecasting use of drug supply
- Acting as a point of contact for external partners (e.g., CROs)
- Review and contribute to key project documents (e.g., clinical protocols, regulatory documents, posters, scientific publications, investor updates); ensure cross-functional collaboration and alignment when regulatory documents are being prepared
- Prepare and communicate project budget, and facilitate resource/capacity planning; follow up on accruals
