Do you want to work with IT and Data Protection in one of the world's leading humanitarian organizations? We are in the process of digitizing and modernizing our IT portfolio and are seeking an IT GDPR Project Manager for a 1-year maternity cover who can manage the further roll-out of the GDPR.

Who are we?

The IT department in DRC’s HQ consists of 20+ employees. We work in an international environment with employees from several different countries and cultures, and we are committed to driving and providing support to the ambitious digital changes that the organization is undergoing. Our environment is based primarily on Microsoft/cloud products such as Office 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure.

About the job

The IT GDPR Project manager is responsible for leading the IT Organizations GDPR initiative and implementing the GDPR requirements to ensure compliance and that all regulations are met on an ongoing basis. The IT GDPR Project Manager will also design a first draft of corporate binding rules and collaborate with colleagues in the international department to map out the need for implementation in the global operations.

  • Project manage the successful implementation of the GDPR regulation in the IT department, delivering the process and technology change required, to ensure that a basic level of compliance is met for the General Data Protection Regulation
  • Support and collaborate with GDPR focal points in the various departments and serve as IT’s focal point
  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation demonstrating the IT departments compliance with GDPR
  • Establish a robust monitoring and controlling program to ensure continued compliance with GDPR
  • Be the day to day primary point of contact for internal and external GDPR enquiries, and support in solving queries and issues related to data protection.
  • Manage data subject requests for information, access, correction and deletion
  • Increase awareness on personal data protection in the IT organization.
  • Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non and partial compliance.
  • Work closely with the organization in Denmark and internationally to roll out new or adjusted workflows and organizational processes in relation to IT
  • Oversee and manage all data breaches
  • Design, implement and monitor guidelines and procedures specific to IT for handling personal data and information security, and ensure compliance.
  • Develop first draft of Binding Corporate Rules

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have previous experience managing and implementing policies & procedures for risk, business impact risk analysis, compliance, auditing, due diligence, incident management and best practice. Previous experience with GDPR (DPA2018) will be required, and any knowledge / experience with Office 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure will be highly beneficial.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Project Management in large international organizations
  • At least one year’s experience working with IT
  • At least one year’s experience with data protection and in-depth knowledge of the GDPR
  • A relevant university’s degree
  • Fluent in Danish (or other Scandinavian languages)
  • Fluent in English

Desirable

  • Experience working with and knowledge about the Danish data protection legislation
  • Experience working in a global NGO
  • Certified Project management skills (Prince2 or equivalent)
  • French (intermediary to fluency) - advantage

We offer

Contract length: one year (Maternity cover)

Work place: Borgergade 10, 1300 Copenhagen

Start date: August 15th or as soon thereafter

The position is temporary as it is a maternity cover

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.

Please note that you need to have the right to work in Denmark (through nationality or existing work visa) in order to be considered for this role.
