Green Hydrogen Systems



Green Hydrogen Systems is looking for a Platform Process Engineer to the Platform Team. You will be part of a product development and maintenance team in a company with full speed ahead to succeed with an ambitious green agenda.

In collaboration with the development team, you will work with problem solving, maintenance and further developing on technical and mechanical solutions and designs to support current and future product program. In other words, you will be involved in further developing process technical solutions to their pressurised alkaline electrolysers and this includes everything from selections of components, dimensioning of piping systems, control of the electrolysis system and testing of it.

The position requires great professional knowledge and effective interaction with colleagues and across the company. You will contribute to the team and the rest of the R&D-department across the company and ensure a continued development of their leading technology. To put it simply, you will play a key role for GHS’s green agenda.

Areas of responsibility


  • Responsibility for the product when it is released, which involves work on conceptual, definition and detailed design for development and platform modification designs to enhance production and improve safety and environmental performance
  • Root Cause analyses and development of corrective actions and designs to remedy challenges in production, service, at customers, etc.

Specific work tasks


  • Implementation of new solutions in ongoing production
  • Root Cause analyses and development of corrective actions and designs to remedy challenges in production, service, at customers, etc.
  • Technical support for new development projects in the team
  • Dimensioning of vessels
  • Calculation of temperature, pressure, flow capacity
  • Writing of P&ID, PFD, specifications, test descriptions and documentation
  • Participate or facilitate HAZOP, FMEA, risk assessments
  • Draw-up of specifications as input for controls and software
  • Find standard components to solve challenges – both for defects and discontinued items

Success criteria


To be successful in this position, you can develop new innovative designs to remedy challenges in production, service, at customers, etc., that are safe, faster to assemble and cost-effective solutions. Furthermore, you ensure the establishment of a documented and controlled production base for use in production, just as you contribute to an effective collaboration across the organisation.

Profile


You have an engineering background within process, energy, chemistry or similar and experience from a manufacturing company. You come with practical experience in process engineering, thermodynamics and compressible flow. Furthermore, you are experienced in product development, process technical calculations, numerical modelling, preparation of process and function descriptions. You are familiar working with FMEA and HAZOP as wells as MATLAB, ANSYS/HYSYS or similar modelling tools. You have experience from preparation and maintenance of P&ID and production documentation. You can communicate in English, both verbally and in written.

As a person, you are self-driven and enterprising. . You are flexible and know how to prioritise your tasks correctly, just as you are a skilled trouble-shooter. You like working in an agile and fast-paced environment, and you take responsibility for progress. Finally, you are a team player, a good communicator and able to work across the entire organisation.
