Blades Blade Launch & Execution Blade Projects and Footprint
Blades is accountable for the delivery of the manufacturing Production Basis, including development of process and tooling of the blades in Vestas.
Blade Projects & Footprint is accountable of taking all the deliverables from the Blades Introduction Center and ensuring that all the work can be brought together to build the first blades (and product upgrades). A major part of this role is the ability to organise, follow up and track deliverables accordingly to the time plan and to be capable to ensure the engineering work. The end customer for this role is serial production factories that will take over the developed product and take the product into serial production.
Responsibilities
You will be the lead project manager of large projects which on average expands over a year and involves up to 40-50 team members. Typically, you will be responsible for one primary project and one secondary, which is in the starting or completion stage. You will be given sole accountability for specific deliveries of new blades or upgrades to agreed time, cost and quality. This includes:
Qualifications
You will have a relevant engineering degree and min. 10 years of work experience within production or manufacturing - covering experience in engineering positions, factory production and tooling competences.

Responsibilities
You will be the lead project manager of large projects which on average expands over a year and involves up to 40-50 team members. Typically, you will be responsible for one primary project and one secondary, which is in the starting or completion stage. You will be given sole accountability for specific deliveries of new blades or upgrades to agreed time, cost and quality. This includes:
- Planning and coordination of the shop floor in the design prototyping build, including resource allocation from the Blade Production
- Product documentation from PE are delivered in right quality and time out of the project
- Lead in Peer reviews with PE Process and Tooling engineers, to ensure robust and reliable production processes and designs
- Preparation of structured reporting during the development, which will also feed to the Overall Project Manager in Vestas
- The above must be done with high attention and focus to a safe working environment, and at all times ensuring safety remains top priority
Qualifications
You will have a relevant engineering degree and min. 10 years of work experience within production or manufacturing - covering experience in engineering positions, factory production and tooling competences.
To get success in this position you will also need to have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Project Management and project management tools (Prince2 is preferred)
- Experience in using quality tools and working strictly within an environment where controlled documents and process are required
- Blades experience is ideal, but we would consider experience from other manufacturing industries such as where the knowledge of bringing new products into production has been gained
- Experience with composite engineering is an advantage but not a requirement
- Business and quality system knowledge
- Experienced user level on Excel, MS Project and MS Sharepoint
Competencies
