The department You will join Scientific Publications, nestled within the heart of Global Medical Affairs. We are responsible for orchestrating publication strategies, planning, and preparation that span our extensive portfolio. Our commitment to excellence is evident as we now expand the department, leading to the creation of dedicated teams within Diabetes and CVD, and Obesity and MASH domains. The position As the Team Lead, you will be guiding our publications’ efforts. Your people skills and strategic vision, coupled with a deep understanding of publications management, will be instrumental in our global planning endeavours. Your main tasks will include: Craft Strategies: Develop and refine publication strategies that resonate with Novo Nordisk’s mission and vision. Collaborate Globally: Work hand-in-hand with stakeholders from various corners of the organization, absorbing insights and shaping the narrative. Nurture Talent: Take charge of people management, fostering team growth, and ensuring that recruitment aligns with the dynamic needs of our department. Operational Mastery: Oversee the tactical and operational demands within the publications sphere, with an emphasis on team health and capacity planning. Your leadership will not only shape the trajectory of Scientific Publications but will also influence the broader medical dialogue. Reporting directly to the Global Publications Director, your contributions will allow you to leave a mark on the world of scientific communication. Qualifications To excel in this role, we anticipate that you bring: Advanced Education: A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in pharmacy, science, or a relevant field, backed by a minimum of 6 years of pertinent experience. Industry Insight: A solid 4-5 years in medical communication, gained either within the pharmaceutical industry or from top-tier medical communications agencies. Project Mastery: Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects, combined with a deep-rooted understanding of clinical development processes. Leadership Excellence: Proven track record in managing and leading high-performing teams to achieve milestones and deliverables. Global Perspective: Experience or familiarity with global publication processes and guidelines, ensuring adherence to international standards. Your inherent ability to manage diverse stakeholders and articulate complex solutions sets you apart.
