European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and/or divestment of assets. As Project Manager, Spain you will work with our existing and future activities within wind and PV and you will be part for our Spanish team, which today consists of 1 colleague in Copenhagen and 1 colleague in Barcelona. Your team members' responsibility is to identify, engage and negotiate with landowners/development partners to obtain land rights to develop utility scale renewable energy projects. Your role then takes on the responsibility for analyzing the data for instance perform feasibility studies in plots of land to develop PV plants. Finally, you will be responsible for supervising our existing portfolio of projects, supervising our partners on development tasks and conducting site visits (both on existing and potential projects).

The position is based in Barcelona with frequent travels inside Spain and occasionally to our HQ in Copenhagen.

Areas of responsibility:


  • Design of photovoltaic installations in the preliminary study and development phase
  • Design of implementation plans
  • Energy simulations
  • Electrical design of the plant
  • Perform feasibility studies in plots of land to develop PV plants

Professional skills we expect from you:


  • Technical engineering background
  • 3-5 years of experience in the development of renewable energy permits in Spain is an advantage
  • Design of photovoltaic installations using specific software
  • Design of electrical installations
  • Knowledge of GIS tools
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, primarily in wind and solar technologies is an advantage
  • You master Spanish and preferably also English
