We work closely with the market and our end users both in offshore wind farms, and with vessel owners directly to charge all-electric vessels or power idle anchoring vessels. We are currently bringing the Stillstrom Offshore e-Charging concept to the offshore wind market.

We are now looking for a Senior Regulatory & Public Affairs Manager

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Regulatory & Public Affairs Manager to become part of a revolutionary ocean cleantech journey. We offer an exciting role in an early-stage venture company owned by A.P. Moller Maersk with a dynamic and international team growing to ca. 20 colleagues.

The Senior Regulatory & Public Affairs Manager is a newly formed role in Stillstrom and will have overall responsibility for both our regulatory and our industry engagement strategies. The key responsibilities include all aspects of public affairs and stakeholder relationship with industry groups to develop the market for offshore charging as well as overseeing and managing all aspects of regulatory compliance related to offshore charging operations. You will aim to ensure an active approach to navigating regulations, political dynamics, and legislations related to offshore wind and maritime vessel operations and decarbonization, while fostering positive relationships with external stakeholders to promote Stillstrom and the offshore charging industry globally.

As our Senior Regulatory & Public Affairs Manager you will play a crucial part in ensuring offshore charging grows as an industry and ensuring our company adheres to all applicable regulations as well as standards set forth by the relevant authorities and governmental agencies globally. You will report directly to the Head of Legal & Regulatory at Stillstrom.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, assess, interpret and identify regulations, policies, and legislation impacting our operations as well as identify areas for improvement.
• Develop strategies to actively address regulatory challenges.
• Stay updated on upcoming legislation and regulatory changes in the offshore wind market and the maritime vessel operations and decarbonization space.
• Analyze the potential impact of such changes and develop action plans to address them effectively.
• Identify potential regulatory risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry trends that may impact offshore charging operations.
• Lead and own the strategy and execution of Stillstrom public affairs and engagement with industry groups to advance offshore power and charging as an industry to support the broader maritime decarbonization, as well as an integral technology into the offshore wind industry. Within that capacity it is expected to build and maintain strong relationships as our primary point of contact and representative before public and government officials, regulatory bodies, industry, and community groups to promote understanding and alignment on the company's goals and initiatives.
• Support the business development team in establishing and executing communications strategies to convey the company’s position on regulatory and political matters to both internal and external stakeholders.

What are we looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, International Relations, Law, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in public affairs, regulatory compliance, or related fields, preferably within offshore or power industry
• Strong understanding of the shipping decarbonization regulatory landscape such as FuelEU and AFIR
• Strong understanding of global offshore and/or power regulation landscapes and political dynamics
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex legal and regulatory documents
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
