Digital Lead Offshore Power for Stillstrom

Stillstrom has embarked on an exciting journey to help decarbonise the maritime industry and build towards a clean ocean future. We are at an exciting stage with a heavy focus on developing its core products. We work closely with the market and our end users both in offshore wind farms, and with vessel owners directly to charge all-electric vessels or power idle anchoring vessels. We are currently bringing the Stillstrom Offshore e-Charging concept to the offshore wind market.
We are now looking for an experienced Digital Lead for Offshore Charging Products to become part of a revolutionary ocean cleantech journey. We offer an exciting role in an early-stage venture company owned by A.P. Moller Maersk with a dynamic and international team growing to ca. 20 colleagues. The Digital Lead Offshore Power will be part of the Stillstrom technical group and report to the CTO.
The Product Development group in Stillstrom is at the core of our concept development, and we are looking for talents that are able to both design associated digital systems, as well as understand the overall system impacts and broader market application of these systems. We are therefore looking for an experienced software product lead with the technical capability and drive to be part of our team taking Stillstrom forward. The focus for the role will be to lead all digital aspects of the offshore power products from conceptual thinking to development through to productization. This work is executed in close collaboration with the other (hardware) development leads and working closely with external software development houses.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of back-office software systems for offshore power and charging systems, ensuring the software is scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Guide the development from digital system architecture, system development, to the design of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for both administrative and end-user applications (including API’s).
- Implement and oversee security best practices to protect user data and system integrity in close collaboration with Maersk Group IT.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, including with the product manager, hardware engineering, and customer support to ensure seamless communication between software and physical devices.
- Lead and manage external software developers and engineering teams, oversee project timelines, deliverables, and ensure milestones are met.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation for developed software.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Proven experience in overseeing the development and deployment of back-office software systems, including version control systems
- Experience in guiding the design and development of user interfaces and ensuring a high-quality user experience.
- Knowledge of web technologies and frameworks, database management systems, API development and integration, and cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Strong project management abilities with hands on attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the energy or offshore industry is a plus.
- Understanding of power metering systems and charging protocols is beneficial
