About the position and duties
With C&D Foods’ Finance Manager in Esbjerg as your immediate superior, you will play a key role in the company’s finance department, supporting the development that C&D Foods is undergoing. As Business Controller, you will help make the finance department an efficient and proactive partner, providing knowledge, analyses and timely financial information to the group and its stakeholders.
The overall goal is to provide the management and organisation of C&D Foods with the best conditions for making the appropriate strategic decisions. You will do this by supplying regular follow-ups and forecasts, working in close collaboration with the organisation and supporting it with a financially correct and fact-based decision basis.

You are persistent and structured, and focus on completing any task you have started. You are detail-oriented and proactive, and have high standards to your own work, while at the same time taking pride in optimising within your field. As a matter of course, you get involved in tasks across the company, because you know just how essential flexibility and collaboration are.
You have good, natural authority and a certain amount of punch as a result of your competency. Theoretically you hold an MSc in Business Administration and Auditing or an HD (R) and have at least 3 years’ experience from a similar position or possibly in the accounting sector. You possess a sound business sense and are structured and driven. You also find it natural to be energetic and curious when it comes to seeking out new tasks and challenging the existing ones.

The factory in Esbjerg has a workforce of about 300 employees and an annual turnover of around DKK 700 million. C&D Foods in Esbjerg is the group’s largest producer of dog and cat food in aluminium trays.
About the position and duties

Your duties will include
- profitability analyses and cost calculations
- contributing to quotation calculations in collaboration with relevant departments (R&D, sales, supply chain etc.)
- drawing up investment proposals (CAPEX) in accordance with the group’s guidelines
- reporting to management and the group, and contributing to weekly reporting and KPIs
- budgeting
- preparing and following up on BI reports (Cognos)
- process optimisation and process descriptions in the fields of accounting, controlling, reconciliation etc.
- contributing to the preparation and analysis of C&D Foods’ monthly and annual accounts
- optimisation of internal processes.
